🐾 Fun Fact Friday! 🦴

Did you know that dogs can learn the names of more than 100 toys and words? 🤯🐶 Some dogs can even recognize over 1,000 different words with consistent training!

Dogs are incredibly intelligent and love learning new things. Teaching them simple commands, fun tricks, or even the names of their favorite toys helps keep their minds active and strengthens the bond you share.

Every rescue dog is capable of learning with a little patience, kindness, and love. Sometimes all they need is someone who believes in them. ❤️

Forget the toys, treats, and presents under the tree—what Robert really wants is something much bigger: his forever home. ❤️🏡

Robert is about 2 years old, and this sweet mixed-breed boy is ready to find the people who will love him for exactly who he is!

🎉🐾 HAPPY GOTCHA DAY, FIDGET! 🐾🎉

After spending close to a YEAR with Hoof & Paw Rescue, our sweet boy Fidget is officially beginning the adventure we've been waiting for! ❤️🏡

Fidget is on his way out of state with his new family, and we're already hearing that he's doing AMAZING! 🥹 His new family plans to take him on lots of hikes, adventures, and new experiences—and we couldn't imagine a better next chapter for this special boy. 🏔️🐕🥾

When a dog has been with us this long, saying goodbye is definitely bittersweet. We grow to love them like our own, but this is what every rescue journey is supposed to lead to. A family. A home. A future. ❤️

To Fidget's wonderful new family, THANK YOU for choosing him. Thank you for giving him the forever home he waited so patiently for and for showing him just how amazing life can be.

Now go climb those mountains, Fidget! 🏔️🐾 You've got a whole world waiting for you!

🎉🐾 A HUGE THANK YOU TO PETSMART AT JORDAN LANDING! 🐾❤️

What an incredible National Adoption Weekend! We want to send the biggest THANK YOU to the amazing team at PetSmart in Jordan Landing for welcoming us, supporting our rescue, and helping us connect our furry friends with families ready to give them the forever homes they deserve. 🏡🐶

Every adoption means one more dog gets to leave rescue life behind and start their happily-ever-after. Seeing these dogs find their people is exactly why we do what we do. ❤️

And the support didn’t stop with adoptions! We were absolutely blown away by the generous donations we received. 🥹🐾 Food, supplies, and other necessities make an enormous difference for a rescue like ours. Every donation helps us care for the dogs currently depending on us—and helps make it possible for us to say YES to the next dog who needs somewhere safe to go.

To the PetSmart Jordan Landing team, everyone who donated, adopted, stopped by, shared our dogs, or supported us this weekend—THANK YOU! ❤️

🐾 Every Life Matters. Every Breath Matters. 🐾

At Hoof and Paw Animal Rescue, we believe a dog's life has value from the very first breath they take until the very last one they ever will.

They don't stop deserving love because they're older. They don't deserve to be abandoned because they're inconvenient. They don't deserve to lose their lives simply because there aren't enough homes.

Every dog deserves kindness, safety, medical care, compassion, and a family that sees them as more than just a pet—they deserve to be someone's forever.

One of the greatest ways we can help protect dogs is by spaying and neutering our pets. Every year, countless healthy, loving dogs lose their lives because shelters are overwhelmed with unwanted litters. While rescue organizations work tirelessly to save as many as possible, we simply cannot rescue our way out of overpopulation.

Spaying and neutering isn't just about preventing unwanted puppies. It helps reduce overcrowding, lowers the risk of certain health issues, and gives every dog already waiting in a shelter a better chance of finding a loving home.

Being a responsible pet owner means making choices that benefit not only your own dog, but dogs everywhere.

Together, we can create a future where fewer dogs are homeless, fewer are forgotten, and more are given the chance to live the long, happy lives they deserve.
