It’s hard to believe that it’s been over a year since the pandemic started. As state and local county mandates continue to be lifted, we are looking forward to resuming some sense of “normalcy”.

We just wanted to take a quick moment to let you know that we are currently working on how we will move forward when the mask mandate is lifted.

For now, we will remain curbside – wait in car during regular appointments, offer Drop Off appointments, and provide contactless payments. We are working on a hybrid system where we can partially open our doors and continue with curbside. We are hoping to do this by the end of June. Please keep an eye out for our updates.

Until then, we really appreciate your patience and understanding. It’s been a tough year, but we will continue to move forward together.

At Downey Veterinary Hospital, it is our mission to provide the highest quality of care, especially preventative care. Heartworm disease is a serious and potentially fatal disease in pets. While heartworm disease may not seem to affect us, there have been reported cases in Los Angeles County. As part of our wellness/preventative care, our complete blood panels will now include testing for heartworm disease.
