Rickey's Farm We are a small farm in Dowling MI.

We raise registered Nigerian Dwarf goats, serama chickens, old spot/red wattle hogs, meat rabbits.We have multiple gardens where we raise and can most of the food we eat throughout the year.

My tomatoes are doing amazing! We already have blooms. I start all my veggies from seeds in the house. I usually start tomatoes and peppers the end of February so they are big when we put them into the garden. Michigan can be cold so the growing season can be short. How are your gardens doing?

Does anyone else love geese? I know I have too many and I should probably re-home some. Haha But I love the way they care for their young, their loud honks and the way they hiss at you. 😂 They also make great guard dogs in the chicken coop. Since having geese I haven't lost any chickens to predators. They get loud when hawks and eagles are around. We weren't going to hatch any out this year, but the geese had other plans. They hid a few nests. So we have 5 new little ones.

We also found this dead baby turtle today. I've never seen a baby on the property before.

I have 7 dozen eggs available this week. We donated 8 dozen to Camp Michawana for their staff to enjoy this week. ❤️

Have a wonderful weekend. The rain we got last night was amazing. The garden really needed a good soak.
