Does your dog suffer from itchy skin? The dilutes (greys/formentinos) seem to be more prone to seasonal allergies/itchy skin.

A lot have asked so here’s what we do. I will put the products I mention in the comments.

I am not a veterinarian. So if there is an underlying root cause that has not been addressed, you’ll need to handle that first. But this absolutely has done wonders for our babies.

First of all, we do a coconut oil soak prior to their bath. Wet, lather in the coconut oil, let it sit (10-15 min is fine) but if they’re really bad off you can leave on for up to an hour. Then rinse and bathe with the shampoos I posted in the comments. I use a mixture of both. Do this twice weekly.

We feed 2 raw eggs, plain Greek yogurt, coconut or salmon oil and Carmelie Yeast Infection Relief for dogs daily (& not on their food, seperately). You can put the oil & Carmelie directly on their food but if the others sit too long they can spoil.

We also have an itch relief spray which seems to be highly effective.

What we feed. BullyMax up until 6 months. Then we transition to CanineX (they have beef or chicken) both are grain free which also seems to alleviate itchy skin.

We also feed our dogs raw venison along with the other supplements I mentioned above.

I hope this helps & again. This is just what has been the most effective for our dogs with seasonal allergies.

I know some will ask so here is the explanation behind the collars. My vet does not like cones bc they push the ears forward. The pups are notorious for popping the blow up pillow collars.

So - I take a large pool noodle, cut the pieces, fit to size each pup & tie with h**p string. This has by far been the most effective way to keep them from scratching their ears post crop.

If you’re anti ear crops, that’s okay. We can agree to disagree respectfully. ✌🏻
