We have a lot of catching up to do! We were busy raising Zenith and improving the farm while we had time to ourselves this summer. Here are a few photos of the highlights 🙂 
Zack rented some equipment and improved some of our ridge trails!  
We added 2 yearling mustangs to the farm!  
That same week, Pepper and Poco joined us!  
We expanded our mustang area and added some sunshades!  
Picked up a new (to us) manure spreader!  
And hosted lots of wonderful folks at our AirBnB!  
Of course, Zenith helped every step of the way 💜

A new season is beginning at Spirit Valley. 🤍🐴 
 
Zenith is now 3½ months old, Zack has officially returned to work after paternity leave, and I’m beginning to find my rhythm between two things that mean so much to me: 𝐛𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐦𝐲 𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐈 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞. 
 
Over the past few months, I’ve had time to think about what I want Spirit Valley to look like moving forward. Instead of simply returning to the schedule I had before maternity leave, I’ve reworked my services around what has always made this place special: 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥, 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. 
 
Connection with the horse. 
Connection with nature. 
Connection with yourself. 
 
You’ll now find updated experiences on our website and a more limited calendar. That’s intentional, too. I want to give each person who comes here my full attention while protecting this very short season of life with Zenith. 
 
Previous lesson clients are welcome to reach out about getting back on the schedule! Most lessons will be offered 𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐤𝐝𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐲, and you can expect my little sidekick Zenith to be nearby. 🤎 
 
My dedicated 𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐤𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬 will be different. Zenith will stay with Dad while I reserve 2–3 hour blocks to be fully present with each client. These experiences aren’t about getting as many people on horseback as possible. They’re about slowing down, learning, riding, and creating a genuine connection with the horse beneath you. 
 
I’m also planning special farm events centered around 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐦𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐬, and I can’t wait to share more. 
 
Motherhood hasn’t made me want to leave this work behind. If anything, it has made me more intentional about 𝐡𝐨𝐰 I want to do it. 
 
Spirit Valley may be moving at a slower pace these days, but I think that slower pace is going to make room for something even more meaningful. 
 
Here’s to a new season of horses, motherhood, connection, and making space for the things we love. 🤍

A New Farmhand Has Arrived 🍼🤠 
 
We are overjoyed to introduce the newest member of our farm family, 𝐙𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐉𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐬. 💙 
 
If you’ve been to the graveyard on our farm, you may recognize the name Zenith— he and his family started this farm back in the 1800’s. This farm means the world to us, so when we decided we wanted a “Z” name, I knew just where to look. The name also has a deeper meaning— Zenith has come to symbolize the peak of achievement or success in various contexts, a perfect representation of how we felt bringing new life into this world.  
 
As we settle into this sweet new season of life, horseback riding lessons, horse experiences, and appointments will be paused while I spend time with our growing family. I anticipate being back in the saddle in approximately 8 weeks and will announce availability on our website and social media as soon as appointments reopen. 
 
In the meantime, our cabin remains open and ready to welcome guests looking for a peaceful summer escape. Whether you’re seeking quiet mornings by the creek, time to wander the trails, evenings under the stars, or simply a place to slow down and reconnect, we’d love to host you. 
 
And who knows—you just might catch a glimpse of our newest little farmhand during your stay. 🤍 
 
Thank you all for your support, encouragement, and patience during this special chapter. We can’t wait to introduce Zenith to the wonderful community that has helped make this farm what it is.

Join us for our Equine First Aid Course on June 16th from 6-8 p.m. in the Q-Barn of the James E. Ward Agricultural Center! Dr. Jordan Pack with Hillside Veterinary Services will talk about his first aid tips, and what you should have on-hand incase of an incident.
