The FIRST Dover After Dark kicks off TONIGHT, September 3, from 5–8 p.m., and we need your detective skills!

🕵️ Pick up a Detective Log at any participating location.
👣 Explore participating Dover businesses and look for the characters on your list.
✏️ Cross off everyone you find; they’re still in town, so they’re off the hook!

With stops including Birch Theory, Noggin Factory, The Groovy Witch, OTTO Pizza, My Country Story, and many more, there’s plenty to investigate, and plenty to enjoy along the way.

The mystery continues on October 1, November 5, and December 3. Submit your Detective Log by December 15 at any participating business for a chance to win a grand prize gift basket!

🫧 NINE YEARS ✂️

8/15/17 DDG opened its doors with only five appointments on the schedule that day. Three of those five appointments would become long time clients we still groom today! Special shout out to Sully, the Yorkie mix, Rosie the Pomeranian, and Brody the Havanese ☺️

2026 has been a yo-yo kind of year that we didn’t see coming. Our usual super busy, steady schedule has become riddled with cancellations and no shows and our cost to operate skyrocketed. On top of that, we had many regular pups cross the rainbow bridge.

New development in Dover has brought us new clients and we’ve got to work with some new puppies from existing and new clients too! We also got a new neighbor Potter's Green & Gift who was gracious enough to take this picture of us. Highly recommend popping in the next time you get your dog groomed 🪴

Through it all, you’ll find our familiar faces 👋🏼 Kim and Sheryl have been with DDG for 4 years, myself for 9 years along with Mabel who refused to look at the camera, Chloe joined us at the start of the year, and Ryleigh celebrated her 5 years this winter!

DDG wouldn’t be what it is without this team, community, and the pups we get to see on a regular schedule. Thank you all for being a part of it 🫶🏼

Scrub-a-dub-dub two new pugs in the tub! 🫧🐾

Lucky Charm (😛) and Scrappy Doo are recent rescues to a family we’ve been grooming for since the fall of 2020. Their beloved pug, Coco, and goldendoodle, Picabo, passed away last year.

Lucky and Scrappy are 3yo littermates who just moved here from LA. We are all so happy to have these little guys and can’t wait for them to experience their first New Hampshire winter! 🌴❄️

Our fave pal Paco is moving away on Friday so we got to see him for his last groom with us yesterday 😭💔👋🏼

Paco’s family has been loyal clients of DDG since we opened in 2017. They started coming to us with their late chihuahua, Cookie, and we’ve been grooming Paco since they adopted him in 2020. We’re going to miss them so much!
