Superpowers come in many forms. Sometimes they look like a steady hand, a comforting touch, a quick-thinking mind, or the ability to make a nervous pet feel safe.

This Vet Tech Week, we’re celebrating the amazing veterinary technicians who bring all of that and more to Broadview every day. Their knowledge, compassion, patience, and dedication make a difference in the lives of our patients and the people who love them.

And while we can’t promise they’ll all show up wearing capes, we can promise they’re heroes to the pets in their care.

Thank you to our wonderful vet tech team for all that you do!

It's Vet Tech Week, and we're celebrating some pretty amazing people!

Our vet techs are the ones offering comfort when a pet is scared, keeping calm when things get hectic, celebrating the little victories, and always stepping up when they're needed.

They work hard, care deeply, and give so much of themselves to our patients, their people, and each other. We couldn't imagine Broadview without them, and we're so thankful for everything they do!

We love our techs, and this week is all about celebrating them!

Be sure to show a vet tech some extra love this week. They deserve it!

A familiar face taking on an exciting new role! Mariah has been part of the Broadview family for six years, and we’re excited to see her bring her experience and compassion to our Portsmouth location. Join us in celebrating her next chapter!

Meet Mariah, our Portsmouth Office Manager!

If you’re already part of the Broadview family, you may know Mariah! She’s been part of Broadview for the past six years, and we’re excited to share that she’ll be taking on a new role as Office Manager at our Portsmouth location!

What Mariah loves most about veterinary medicine is the special bond between people and their pets, and the opportunity to support that relationship. She appreciates Broadview’s approach to medicine and has a special place in her heart for patients who may be a little less comfortable at the vet. Helping them build trust, celebrating the small steps, and watching their confidence grow are some of the most rewarding parts of her work.

Outside of work, Mariah enjoys traveling, exploring different cultures through their food and traditions, and discovering new favorites as a self-proclaimed foodie. She also has a passion for working with behavioral dogs and supporting shelters and rescues, especially pets who are often overlooked. At home, she has two senior pitties, Cody and Eeyore, and a soft spot for fostering and providing hospice care to pets who need a little extra love.

As we prepare to open our Portsmouth location, Mariah is looking forward to reconnecting with familiar faces, getting to know more of the community, and continuing to provide the exceptional veterinary care and compassion that Broadview is known for.

Please join us in celebrating Mariah’s new role and wishing her all the best as she helps bring Broadview to Portsmouth. We’re so excited for this next chapter!

That’s a wrap on another Junior Vets session!

We had such an amazing group of kids join us for our Dermatology (Skin) session, and we couldn’t have asked for a better group. They were engaged, curious, asked great questions, and were ready to learn from start to finish. It was so much fun watching their interest in veterinary medicine come to life!

A big thank you to all of the parents who brought their Junior Vets and supported their curiosity and love for animals. And of course, we couldn’t do these days without our amazing volunteers who gave their time and helped make the session possible. We appreciate you!

Thank you to everyone who spent part of their Saturday with us. We hope our Junior Vets left with some new knowledge, some great memories, and maybe an even bigger interest in veterinary medicine.

We’re already looking forward to the next one!

We’re getting closer to opening our doors in Portsmouth, and we’re excited to keep introducing you to the team who will be making it all happen! This time, meet Monica, our Portsmouth Surgery Lead.
Take a peek at what’s happening in Portsmouth, and if you haven’t already, give our Portsmouth page a follow so you don’t miss any updates, team introductions, and all the fun as we get closer to opening day!

Meet the Portsmouth Team!

We're continuing our introductions with another familiar face who will be part of the team at Broadview Animal Hospital of Portsmouth. Meet Monica, our Portsmouth Surgery Lead!

Monica has been part of the Broadview family for 10 years this January and brings a wealth of experience to her new role in Portsmouth.

What Monica enjoys most about working with pets and their families is being able to make a meaningful difference when an animal is sick, injured, or in pain. Working in surgery allows her to play an important role in helping patients feel more comfortable, providing pain relief, and supporting them throughout their recovery. She finds it incredibly rewarding to care for animals during some of their most vulnerable moments and help them get back to feeling like themselves again. She also values the trust families place in our team and the opportunity to provide reassurance and comfort while their pets are in our care.

At home, Monica has quite the crew! Yeti, a 95-pound lovable ham, enjoys slow walks on the beach and relaxing on the sofa watching TV. Lou, a 35-pound ball of energy, is always ready for an adventure, whether it's a hike or a paddleboarding trip. Then there are the cats: Tuna, who is convinced he's a dog, comes when called and is always finding some kind of trouble, and Squid, the matriarch of the household, who loves everyone, but loves food even more!

A fun fact about Monica? She's halfway to completing the White Mountain 48, having set her sights on hiking all 48 of New Hampshire's 4,000-footers!

Monica is especially excited to become part of the Portsmouth community and bring the same compassionate, high-quality care to pets and families there that Broadview has provided for years.

We're so excited to have Monica leading our surgery team in Portsmouth and can't wait for you to meet her!
