At the Humane Society, we are also reminded of the loyal animals who have served beside us, comforted us, protected us, and brought hope in difficult times.

Today, we honor sacrifice, cherish freedom, and give thanks for the compassion that connects us all — people and animals alike.

What a difference your donations make! Keeping Families Together, One Bowl at a Time 🐾❤️

No one should ever have to face the heartbreak of surrendering a beloved pet because they can't afford a bag of kibble. At the Douglas County Humane Society, our Pet Pantry is a lifeline for local families going through tough times, ensuring that pets stay where they belong—at home with the people who love them.

But we can’t do it alone! Our pantry relies on the kindness of our community to stay stocked. You've really come through and we are ready for the upcoming Pet Pantry - but the need is great and this won't last long.

How you can help:
🥫 Donate Food: We are always in need of dry and canned dog and cat food. Every bag or can makes a difference!
💰 Donate Funds: Financial contributions allow us to purchase food in bulk and fill the gaps when our shelves run low.

Where to give: 📍 Drop off food donations at the Douglas County Animal Shelter and tell them it is for the Pet Pantry.
