Place doesn’t always have to be a dog bed or small target. Place here was the bed of the trailer. This kept the girls safe and in view while tasks were finished.
In the video Hoax has an ecollar on while Riot does not. Why is that? Hoax is still a young pup who can be swayed by her own desires, but Riot is a seasoned girl who has proven reliable on and off collar with hundreds of hours and sessions put into her training over the years.
How long your dog wears training equipment is heavily based on how consistent you are with their training and how the individual dog responds. Hoax will get there one day when she is at Riots level IF I am consistent.
We are quick to blame the dog for not being able to do their commands in all environments, but the real questions is have we as their OWNERS trained in all environments and worked until success or did we do it once and then move on?
