Some people get a pet. Some people get a soul pet.

You can love a lot of animals in one lifetime and still only get one like that. The one who came and found you on the days you didn't tell anyone about. When they go, people expect you to grieve them like you grieved the others. You won't, and you shouldn't have to pretend otherwise.

Here at Avalon Veterinary Hospice we have a special place in our heart for rescues and working dogs. We recently made a donation to Phoenix Animal Rescue in honor of Dr. Kate’s German Shepherd Citra - may she rest in peace 🌈 ♥️ 🐾
We encourage everyone in the community to take a look at the amazing work this rescue is doing to clear the shelters and find homes for deserving and unique dogs. If you find it in your heart to donate or adopt, it would fill our hearts with joy!
