🍂 Oktoberfest weekend is here! 🍂

Douglas Animal Clinic will be closed this Saturday, so our team can enjoy the festivities right here in downtown Douglas. We hope everyone has a fun, safe weekend — and maybe we’ll see a few familiar faces out and about! 🐾💚

Enjoy!

Meet Apple 🍎🐾

Dr. Delbecq’s nephew, Taylor, recently adopted this sweet little rescue from Worcester Animal Rescue League. Apple was found as a stray by animal control, and she’s still learning that the world can be a safe and loving place.

She’s a little shy, a little nervous, and completely adorable. Rescue pets don’t always arrive knowing they’re home—but with patience, kindness, and a soft blanket or two, they start to figure it out. 💜

Welcome to the family, Apple. We’re already smitten. 🐶✨

🐾🎒 June is National Pet Preparedness Month! 🎒🐾

Would your pet be ready if an emergency happened today?

Just like the rest of the family, pets need an emergency plan too! Take a few minutes this month to create a pet emergency kit that includes:

✅ Food and water for several days
✅ Medications and medical records
✅ A leash, harness, or carrier
✅ Recent photos of your pet
✅ Comfort items like favorite toys or blankets
✅ Updated ID tags and microchip information

A little preparation can make a big difference when the unexpected happens.

📸 Show us your pet's emergency kit (or your pet "helping" you pack one!) in the comments below!

🐶🐱 Stay safe, stay prepared, and give your furry family members an extra hug today.

🐾 MAY is Chip Your Pet Month! 🐾

Does your dog think they’re an Olympic sprinter every time the front door opens? 🐕💨
Does your cat secretly dream of becoming an outdoor explorer? 🐈🌎

A microchip is a tiny step that can make a HUGE difference in helping lost pets find their way back home. ❤️

✔ Quick
✔ Safe
✔ Permanent identification
✔ Peace of mind for pet parents

This month is the perfect time to make sure your furry family member is protected! Give us a call to schedule a microchip appointment or stop by to have your pet’s chip scanned and checked. 🐶🐱

Because adventures are fun… but coming home is even better. 🏡🐾
