To be nominated for Best Small Business of the Year in the 51–100 category means more to us than we can put into words.

We didn’t walk away with the win, but being recognized alongside businesses like Toyota of Dothan and so many others reminds us just how far this journey has taken us. What started as a simple vision has grown into something bigger than we ever imagined, with more space, more people, and a second location serving the Wiregrass community.

We are deeply thankful for every client, every pup, and every cat who has been part of our story, along with the amazing team who makes it all possible. And we’re just getting started. 🐶💙🐱

A special thank you to the Dothan Area Chamber of Commerce for bringing our community together and recognizing the importance of small businesses!

Meet the Staff Monday

Meet Cayla, our Practice Manager!

Cayla brings over 17 years of experience in veterinary medicine and has truly loved every minute of it. One of her favorite parts of the job is building relationships with clients and their pets, while being part of a team that genuinely cares about the animals and families we serve.

Around the clinic, Cayla is known as the unofficial problem solver—if something needs fixing, figuring out, or just a little extra attention, she’s the one to call. No matter the challenge, she’s determined to find a solution one way or another!

Outside of work, Cayla is working on an exciting new project—her upcoming podcast, One Vet, Two Regrets (stay tuned!).

Be sure to say hello next time you see her in the clinic! 🐾

Dog parks can be fun, but they’re not risk-free. Before you go, make sure your dog is up to date on vaccines and parasite prevention. Once there, watch for signs of stress like stiff posture, staring, or rough play. Bring water, supervise closely, and don’t be afraid to leave if your dog seems overwhelmed. A safe visit is always better than a stressful one.

Questions about whether the dog park is a good fit for your pet? Call (334) 714-2476.

Sphynx cats may be known for their unique hairless look, but there’s much more to this breed than appearance alone. 🐱 Because they lack a normal fur coat, Sphynx cats often need a little extra help with skin care, warmth, and routine hygiene. Their skin can collect oils more easily, and they may be more sensitive to sun exposure and cold temperatures than other cats.
