There are some people who simply work at a veterinary clinic… and then there are the people who become part of its heartbeat.
This week, we get to celebrate OURS during this National Veterinary Technician Appreciation Week!!!
As veterinarians, we know one thing with absolute certainty: WE COULD DO ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WITHOUT OUR VETERINARY ASSISTANTS!!!!
They celebrate the victories right alongside us and shed tears with us on the hard days. They monitor anesthesia, draw blood, take X-rays, fill medications, clean up messes, answer a million questions, anticipate what we need before we ever have to ask and love on every patient like they were their own.
But this year, our gratitude feels a little deeper.
Because this team didn’t just help us practice veterinary medicine… they helped us build Southern Oaks.
Over the past year, they have walked beside us through opening the doors of a brand-new clinic, learning new routines, creating new traditions, navigating growing pains, celebrating milestones, and helping turn a dream we carried in our hearts into the place we now get to call home.
They believed in what Southern Oaks could be, and then they rolled up their sleeves and helped us become it. Their fingerprints are all on it!
A beautiful building can make a veterinary clinic, but it takes extraordinary people to give it a heart And my goodness, did we get blessed with some of the most extraordinary people!!
To our veterinary assistant team: thank you for choosing Southern Oaks. Thank you for trusting our dream enough to make it part of your own. Thank you for your compassion, your knowledge, your patience, your laughter, your hard work, and for showing up every single day ready to serve our patients and this community.
We hope you always know just how loved, valued, and appreciated you are not only this week, but every single day.
