We have had many dear friends over the years and we are proud to call Denise Simmons one of our dearest.
We were terribly saddened to hear of her passing.
We want to thank all of the wonderful people who worked with Denise and her wonderful husband too. We had 2 groups of amazing healthcare providers visit us over the last two weeks and shower the kittens with love. They all know KK was dear to Denise’s heart, she had adopted from us and supported our mission over the years.
Thanks to you all for honoring us with your love for Denise 💝

We have a challenge for our amazing Kitty Kottage family!

Almost everyone has a jar, piggy bank, coffee can, cup holder, or kitchen drawer filled with loose change. Pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters that have been sitting there for months—or even years.

What if all that forgotten change could save lives?

Right now, Kitty Kottage is facing some of the most challenging financial times in our history. Veterinary care, food, medications, litter, and supplies continue to rise, but our commitment to the cats and kittens who need us has never changed.

So we’re asking our community to do something simple:

💙 Empty your change jars.
💙 Count it up.
💙 Donate it to Kitty Kottage.

A jar with $10 in change buys food.
A jar with $25 helps provide medications.
A jar with $50 helps cover part of a veterinary visit.

One jar may not seem like much, but imagine if 100 people joined in.

PS - I’m starting this challenge myself with my own kitty bank. I randomly drop change in and I had no idea how much was in it- was I shocked at almost $40 I didn’t know I even had that will now go to good use!

We had the best visitors! I know y’all recognize the big guy! Yep that’s our wiregrass_noms friend and Amanda from Bark Avenue Pet Salon they held a fund/food drive for local rescues and we were one of the recipients!
We are so blessed to have such wonderful friends supporting us!

Lexi.

We have a beautiful kitty that needs a new home. Please meet Lexi!
Lexi is a purebred Persian, she is approximately nine years old, spayed, up-to-date on her vaccines, FELV/FIV negative, and front declawed.
Lexi would do best in a home without other cats, because she prefers to be spoiled, as she deserves to be! She tolerates dogs, but is a little wary of them because in her previous home, there were two dogs who harassed her. She would probably be OK with kids, as long as they were gentle and calm with her.
Since she is a true Persian, she will require extra grooming, care, so her new owner will need to be aware of that as part of her overall care.
We are looking for the puuurfect home for her, so if you think you can provide that home, please send us a private message here on Facebook, and include your name and phone number. We will be doing phone interviews in an effort to place her in the best possible home we can.
