Mister Oskar Wilde came in for what seemed to be his first ever pamper session around 6pm yesterday. 🥺

This sweet guy was shy to begin with as it was clear that he has never been introduced to grooming before. Once he got more confident and reassurance he began falling asleep while I was trimming around his paw paws and face. He said lady it’s 8pm, bedtime gooooodnight 😴🥹♥️

Oskar W is a foster through WAG - Wiregrass Animal Group and will be available for adoption soon. Check him and the other adoptable babies out on their page! 🐾🫶🏻

ORAL HYGIENE THERAPY: Q&A 🦷✨

There seems to be some confusion circulating about what I offer, so I want to clear up exactly what my Anesthesia-Free Oral Hygiene Therapy is — and what it is not.

Q: Is this a “non-anesthesia dental”?
A: No. Only veterinarians perform dentals.

In no way is this veterinary medicine. I do not diagnose or treat dental disease, perform extractions, take dental radiographs, probe periodontal pockets, scrape, or scale teeth.

There is no scraping or scaling involved whatsoever.

What I provide is a professional oral hygiene therapy protocol focused on consistent plaque and bacterial management, gum health, and proper maintenance.

Q: If you aren’t scraping or scaling, how does it work?
I utilize ultrasonic brushing in combination with my custom-formulated holistic Oral Hygiene Elixir, which I personally developed for use within my protocol.

The method is designed to help dissolve plaque, biofilm, and buildup around, above, and below the gumline so it softens and melts away, rather than being manually and mechanically scraped from the tooth surface.

The ultrasonic waves work through the surrounding tissue while encouraging healthy blood flow to the gums, with ultrasonic energy extending around the entire tooth and root area as part of the overall hygiene process.

The goal is comprehensive oral hygiene around the entire tooth — both exposed and unexposed — helping reduce plaque and bacterial buildup throughout the oral environment.

Q: Is it thorough?
A: Absolutely.

This is not simply traditional tooth brushing. My protocol is designed to maintain the mouth consistently rather than waiting until buildup becomes severe and then trying to correct it.

That distinction matters.

Q: Why do I recommend maintenance every 2–4 weeks, with many clients choosing monthly sessions?

Because plaque and oral bacteria do not take a year to develop.

A once-a-year veterinary dental may be appropriate veterinary care, but it does not maintain a consistently clean, hygienic, and health-supportive oral environment for the other 364 days of the year.

That is where consistent oral hygiene maintenance comes in.

Veterinary dentistry and my Oral Hygiene Therapy are not replacements for one another. They serve different purposes and can complement each other beautifully.

Veterinary dentistry addresses conditions requiring veterinary diagnosis and treatment.

My service focuses on consistent oral hygiene between veterinary care, without routinely placing a fur baby under anesthesia simply for hygiene maintenance.

Q: Why do I take this so seriously?
Because oral health is directly connected to whole-body health.

Chronic oral bacteria and inflammation can place a burden on the body, while consistent hygiene significantly reduces that risk and support healthier long-term outcomes.

And yes — consistent oral hygiene maintenance can save lives.

That is why dismissing or misrepresenting a service like this without understanding the protocol is so unfortunate.

Because my Oral Hygiene Elixir and protocol are custom-formulated and performed by me, this exact service is not being provided anywhere else. Claims about what my service supposedly does or does not do are simply assumptions unless that information came directly from me.

Education matters. Terminology matters. Scope of practice matters.

If you want accurate information about my Oral Hygiene Therapy, its methodology, products, or protocol, the appropriate source is me.

I’m incredibly proud of the results my clients maintain, and I’ll continue advocating for consistent oral hygiene alongside appropriate veterinary care because our fur baby’s deserve more than waiting for their mouths to become unhealthy before we pay attention to them. 🫶🏻🦷

This is NOT veterinary medicine. It is professional oral hygiene — and that distinction matters.
