Ever wonder what happens when you compost? This. πŸ˜‚πŸ…
A bunch of our gardening friends will be taking some of these tomato starters off our hands this weekend. We ended up with 3 beds full of tomato plants...that we didn't plant! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

What a beautiful morning! Have a blessed day everyone!

I have been thinking a lot this month about all I have to be thankful for. Not uncommon I imagine, given we’re about to celebrate Thanksgiving next week. πŸ’œπŸ¦ƒ

God has blessed me beyond measure these last few years. He has pushed me out of my comfort zone and into the unknown more than I would’ve liked. While I have usually gone kicking and screaming, He has mercifully reminded me again and again that He knows what He’s doing.

I love what He gives us in Ecclesiastes 3:1-8:

For everything there is a season,
a time for every activity under heaven.

A time to be born and a time to die.
A time to plant and a time to harvest.

A time to kill and a time to heal.
A time to tear down and a time to build up.

A time to cry and a time to laugh.
A time to grieve and a time to dance.

A time to scatter stones and a time to gather stones.
A time to embrace and a time to turn away.

A time to search and a time to quit searching.
A time to keep and a time to throw away.

A time to tear and a time to mend.
A time to be quiet and a time to speak.

A time to love and a time to hate.
A time for war and a time for peace.

Here at Crazy Blessed Acres, this is our time to step back from the farm and focus on what God has planned for us in the next season of our journey on earth.

It has been my absolute pleasure and privilege to engage with so many of you and share some of our beautiful lines with your flocks. I am humbled by your accolades and referrals over the years, and I wish you all nothing but the best in your homesteading journey.

God bless you!

Today is August 31st and in Eastern Europe that means that it's "Graduation Day" when the 16-18 year olds, graduate from the orphanages.
Every year on August 31st, an entire graduating class of orphans is sent out of the orphanages all across Eastern Europe. Most of these children are without adequate life skills, without much more than the bags on their backs, and well wishes to find a place at trade schools.
No family, no mentors, no chance for adoption... no hope.
Within a few years, over 80% of these graduated orphans will find themselves trapped in lives of poverty, crime, prostitution, addiction, incarceration, or dead (many at their own hands).
Please join me in praying for these beautiful children (and those called to help them), as well as the children in foster care here, and all the kids around the world that will wake up hungry and without parents today.
Heartbreaking to think about them, and how that could have been my kids. πŸ’”
