🐾 THIS LINEUP IS STACKED. 🐾

We’re getting closer to the 6th Annual Doggie Dip, and this year’s vendor lineup is a true who’s who of Wiregrass-area dog businesses! 🐶💦

We’ll have 20 awesome vendors and 2 community partners set up around the wave pool on Saturday, September 12, ready for you and your pup to visit, shop, learn, grab some goodies, and enjoy everything Doggie Dip has to offer!

And this is only the beginning...Over the next two weeks, we’ll be featuring each of these amazing businesses on our Doggie Dip Event Page, so be sure to follow along as we round the final corner toward the BIG DAY! 🐕🎉

A HUGE shoutout to our 2026 Doggie Dip Event Sponsor, Wags & Whiskers of the Wiregrass! ❤️🐾 We’re so grateful for their support of an event that means so much to us and to our community.

And, of course, let’s not forget WHY we do it! Every penny from Doggie Dip admission and vendor fees benefits:
❤️ Wiregrass Pets Rescue & Adoption
❤️ Wiregrass Spay & Neuter Alliance

Both organizations will also be joining us with booths around the wave pool!

🍋 Meet Zipper! 🐾💛
Zipper and his family recently found themselves in an emergency situation they never expected. Zipper was experiencing severe testicular pain and needed an emergency neuter procedure to get him feeling better.

Thanks to our L&P Lemonade Stand Fund, we were able to help cover a portion of Zipper’s unexpected medical expenses, giving his family a little extra support during a stressful time. We’re happy to say that Zipper is now back to his crazy, happy self and even better, he’s back to work with his dad! 🥰🐶👨‍🔧

The L&P Lemonade Stand Fund was created with the hope of helping pets and their families when unexpected emergencies arise. ❤️ The fund is made possible by the incredible generosity of our clients and employees, and every purchase from our Lemonade Stand helps us continue giving back to families in need.

🍋 We have lots of goodies available, including bows, collars, bookmarks, and more! We’re sure you’ll find something you love.

So next time you’re in the clinic, be sure to stop by and shop our L&P Lemonade Stand! Every purchase helps make a difference. 🐾💛

We’re so happy to see Zipper feeling better and back to being his silly self! Give that sweet boy some love! 🥰

🐾 Kittens Available for Adoption! 🐾

These precious kittens were recently found by one of our technicians and have quickly become favorites around the office. While they’ve certainly brightened our days, we would love to see them find a loving forever home of their own.
If you’re interested in meeting them or learning more, please stop by during our regular business hours. We’d be delighted to help these sweet little ones find the perfect family! ❤️🐱

We have seen a significant increase in canine parvovirus (parvo) cases, and we want to help raise awareness about this serious but preventable disease.
Parvovirus is a highly contagious viral illness that primarily affects puppies and adolescent dogs. It remains one of the leading causes of death in unvaccinated puppies. The good news is that parvo can be prevented through proper vaccination, and recognizing the early signs can help save your puppy's life.

💉 Prevention is key.
Puppies should receive a complete series of vaccinations (typically 4 rounds of booster vaccines) to develop adequate protection against parvovirus. Older dogs with an unknown vaccination history should receive at least 2 rounds of vaccines as recommended by our veterinarians.

⚠️ Common symptoms of parvovirus include:
• Severe vomiting
•Severe diarrhea (sometimes bloody)
•Lethargy and weakness
• Loss of appetite

🩺 How is parvo diagnosed?
Parvovirus is commonly diagnosed using a SNAP test along with blood work, including a complete blood cell count (CBC), which often reveals a low white blood cell count.

🏥 Treatment and hospitalization
Parvo requires intensive supportive care. Hospitalize patients may receive:
• Intravenous (IV) fluids
•Anti-nausea medications
•Antibiotics
•Parvo monoclonal antibody treatment
•Nutritional and nursing support
With prompt treatment and hospitalization, survival rates can reach approximately 80% or higher.

If your puppy is showing any of these signs, please contact our clinic immediately. Early intervention can make all the difference. 🐾
