A special gotcha day for father's day!!

This week we had 10 animals 5 cats and 5 dogs wrapped in love as their new beginnings started. We love how each picture captures the special moment between a family and their new animal!

We hope to have more adoptions this week, and see our community out and about in Colorado Springs this afternoon and Cripple Creek this weekend!

Ono is thankful for all the kitten donations coming in!!

He is one of 42 and counting kittens currently in our foster program, growing up and getting ready for adoption.

We would not be able to provide care to this many kittens without the support of our community. We have so many wonderful foster homes, donated supplies, and money raised, all to support our little feline friends!

If you want to help support us during kitten season, we are still looking for new foster homes and could use Purina Kitten Chow (bright yellow bag) and monetary donations to help us be prepared for anything unexpected that may come up when caring for fragile babies.

Pixie is the definition of a lucky dog because she gets to take a walk like this while in her foster home!

Fostering an animal can positively affect that animal's life. Pixie was found as a stray in here in Teller County in April and has been in the shelter since. She was starting to show us that she needed something different from what we could offer her in the shelter. That is why we reached out and found an amazing foster home for her, and she is doing amazing!!

At her foster home, she interacts with other dogs, goes on long walks in the mountains, and gets a feel for living in a home!! This will also help us learn more about her to help her find a home to call her own.
