What do you do when you have to PRA test 12 puppies that can’t touch each other for an hour? You find every available box, laundry basket, or tote. 🤣 It’s much easier to do the younger and more sleepy they are.

Well it won’t be long and they will be outgrowing the feeding pool 😅 I’m hoping by that time their food can be a little less mushy so it’s not as much of a mess to clean up, right now it’s basically a liquid. Also snapped a picture of Zira checking in on them. (Ignore the mess, the puppies have completely taken over everything)

If you received an email, please get back with me as soon as possible even if you’d like to wait for a future litter or if you’d like to be removed from my wait list.

If you haven’t filled out a puppy application yet it is on my website www.redstartacds.com/puppies — I’m not sure of availability at this time. I sent a large amount of emails and I’m currently waiting to hear back to form together a wait list for the current Zodiac litter.

I will remove applications if I don’t hear back from people on June 26, 2026 - if this is a mistake and you missed my email you are welcome to fill out another application I’m just trying to stay organized and remove uninterested parties.

The Zodiac litter is three weeks old today! ❤️🐾

We made it! We are transitioning to a solid food this week (puppy mush) so hopefully feeding sessions will get a little easier soon. Everyone is doing well and growing — even little Ta**us! She is very strong and active just a little wheezy and out of breath sometimes. The vet said that could take several weeks to completely clear up.

They’ve had first de-worming, several nail trims, and a ton of handling with being bottle fed. I’m hoping that my PRA test kits will be here this week too so we can get that done as well!

I will be reaching out to my puppy applicants this week. Just give me a couple of days to get through all of them as I want to be thorough. I will reach out via email. If I don’t get a response within two weeks I will automatically remove your application — if my message went to spam or was missed feel free to reach out and fill out another application. If you haven’t yet and want to, it’s on my website www.redstartacds.com/puppies — no official picks will be made until closer to 8 weeks I am just trying to narrow down interested individuals to make a wait list of those to stay in touch with. ❤️

While we are playing puppy duty, Auntie Maggie was out representing at the Woofstock Dog Show in California taking best of opposite s*x all 3 days for a couple more majors towards her grand championship bronze! Huge congratulations to her owner & handler Felicia Moore! ❤️

Mush seemed to be a success today! We tried twice prior and they just didn’t seem to get it. We tried a bit on a baby spoon before but today we just threw them together with a big bowl and it seemed to click! We will alternate feedings between being on Zira and the bottle, and getting mush until they get the hang of it a bit more. Hopefully more sleep for the humans is coming soon! 😴

Well Shade gave me a little scare last night (as if I needed something else stressful right now. Darn dogs! 😫)

We think he had an allergic reaction to a possible bee sting that made him go into shock. By the time I was able to rush him to the vet, he recovered in the car and his vitals were completely normal, all happening within a 30-40 minute timeframe. So I’m at a loss for what happened but thankful that he seems to be fine now. Huge thank you to Dr. Pendleton for coming in for the emergency. Heritage Veterinary Care — No more spicy sky raisins for Shade. 🐝 But how to you tell a Cattle Dog they can’t try to eat bees 😅

We have a couple of new members to the 2 lb. club! Everyone has been gaining steadily too! You can see Ta**us’ bad day, but she’s been eating regularly since then and I’m hoping we start seeing more improvement soon! ❤️

She tricked me! Little Libra is actually red! The dark eyelash marking threw me off, but now that their undercoats are coming in it’s clear that she is going to be red! Also for the two plain face puppies Gemini is going to be a red, and Pisces is blue! So the grand total for puppy colors is 3 red males, 2 blue males, 2 red females, & 5 blue females.
