Fostering is so much more than simply giving an animal a place to stay. It’s opening your home and your heart to an animal who needs a little extra help along the way.
At Beaverhead Animal Shelter, we often need foster homes for:
🐱 Bottle-fed kittens who need around-the-clock care
🐱 Kittens under 2 pounds who need a safe place to grow
🐱 Kittens who have medical needs or need a little extra TLC
🐶 Puppies under 8 weeks old who aren't quite ready for the shelter environment
🐶 Dogs who simply need some time away from the shelter to decompress
🏡 Dogs who need the normalcy of a home — a couch, a quiet place to sleep, a routine, and someone to love on them
❤️ Animals who need foster care while recovering from an illness, injury, or other medical need
Sometimes fostering is a few days. Sometimes it's a few weeks. Every foster situation is a little different — but every single one makes a difference.
Our foster families take animals into their homes, care for them like their own, celebrate their progress, and help prepare them for the next chapter of their lives. And when the time comes, they love them enough to let them go. ❤️
