Dear women of Dickinson,

Today we celebrate international women's day, and the incredible impact women make in the workforce, and in our communities.

Women are some of the hardest workers out there. Often, balancing careers, while still coming home to raise their children, care for their families, and nurture their furry companions. Whether they're leading businesses, bringing home the bread, supporting their teams, or creating loving homes, women continuously prove that strength, compassion, and determination, can change the world in powerful ways.

We will like to have the honor of giving a special shout out to the moms out there, those raising little humans, and those raising four–legged family members. The dedication, it takes to show up for both your work, and your family, every day is truly inspiring. 

Fun fact, about BPW: we believe the hard work deserves equal recognition. At BPW, both women and men employees are paid the same hourly rate. That means the women on our team, earn the same (or sometimes more, depending on their role in the company) while doing the amazing work they do caring for the dogs in our community.

Today, we celebrate the women who are making a difference every single day. At their workplace, at home, and everywhere in between.

We are actively seeking new volunteering opportunities - because supporting our Dickinson community is at the core of our mission.

If you need a hand with simple but meaningful tasks, such as organizing or sorting items, assisting a local business with unloading a large delivery, or helping tidy up a space before winter hits, submit a "Volunteer Request Form" on our website under "Contact Us". We’re here to help with small projects that genuinely benefit our community.

Please note: all volunteer requests must be approved prior to scheduling. Not every request will be accepted, as approvals depend on our discretion, availability, and whether the task aligns with our mission. We reserve the right to decline any requested service. We volunteer our time to make meaningful improvements in Dickinson - not to provide free labor for tasks that don’t contribute to our community’s wellbeing.

We look forward to continuing to serve Dickinson, one request at a time.

It’s Sunday. Time to handle business.

While most folks are kicking back, Auden Olivas and his dog Bluey are gearing up for a 10-hour shift cleaning up loitered trash all across Dickinson. After the 4th of July celebrations, our streets, parks, and back roads could use some serious attention — and we’re not the type to sit around and wait for someone else to do it.

We’re hitting the town with gloves on, bags in hand, and Bluey leading the charge. 💪🐾🇺🇸

👉 Know a spot that needs some love? A ditch, trail, parking lot — wherever the trash piled up — drop it in the comments and we’ll take care of it.

This isn’t about praise. It’s about pride — in our town, in our work, and in doing what’s right when no one’s watching.
