Today, I got to meet Rudy boy. He is a younger pup who isn’t the biggest fan of being groomed, but is SO lovey and silly!
I have always believed that almost every case of aggression during the grooming process, just stems from fear. New things, new noises, new feelings, past trauma or mistreatment, etc.
Today, Rudy and I had a few hours of one on one time, going slow to gain comfortability and trust.
Sometimes, showing them that you’re not going to give up, and that you’re going to continue to work through this process together, helps them settle. I feel like Rudy and I made great progress today, and that if nothing else, he knows that this is a place that he will be loved and cared for through the worst of it.
We may not have left as spiffy as I would have liked (we’re working through touchiness for legs + paws), but I have great confidence that after a few more sessions, Rudy will start to trust the process 🫶🏼🐾

I always feel very honored to have owners trust me with their pets that struggle. We will always do our best to work through it together, and they will always be safe and loved here 🖤

Furry Gems 🖤🐾

Hi friends! Once upon some years ago, I started up my own little business from my home, grooming so many fur babies. With my little one in school, I would love nothing more than to get back into sprucing up your pups ☺️

I apprenticed at a popular shop in Naperville, under an award winning competition groomer for a year and stayed there for a couple more years before having my baby boy in February of 2020. I eventually started my own little setup and had quite the collection of doggos coming by, which I am forever thankful for. 🤍

Life got crazy around the toddler stage & all the sickness that school brings, and I quickly realized I was trying to keep up with something at the hardest phase of my life. And I chose to take some time away to focus on the years with my family that I could never get back. I am excited at the thought of spending more time with my animal friends now that I have free time during the day!

One of the biggest perks of an in home groomer is that my focus is solely on your dog. The environment is calmer, and oftentimes the process is quicker. Trust is built easier, and prices are cheaper. 🎉

My priority is always the safety and comfortability of your baby.. the quality & cuteness is just an added bonus 🥰
