It was a great honor to be asked to recreate this massive mule deer! This special trophy was harvested in 1935, and has been one of the biggest muley bucks taken from Colorado. I repaired a couple of the tines, replaced the cape and form, and finished him up last week!

Skinned another deer, a beautiful otter and this nasty alligator gar today. 🦌 🦦 🐊

It’s been a busy week! I’ve finished up more euros this week, a few shoulder mounts, two fish, repaired some mule deer antlers for a mount and skinned a few things for soft tanning! This ol’ gal is tiiired.

Here is an illustration of how to cape for a shoulder mount deer. I need armpits, not the tail. If in doubt, go a little further back. I can always cut off extra, but cannot add to.
