Mobile Equine Cryotherapy
Equine Cryotherapy is a non-invasive drug free wellness focused cold therapy that helps with muscle recovery, reduces inflammation and enhances performance. It delivers targeted pressurized CO2 to specific areas of the horse which creates a rapid surface cooling affect within seconds lowering tissue temperature. The cooling decreases metabolic activity and slows the inflammatory cascade. The cold numbs nerve endings reducing pain and making the area more comfortable for the horse. It allows faster recovery by controlling inflammation early. CO2 cryotherapy helps tissue return to normal function sooner. It enhances blood flow, delivering oxygen and nutrients to the tissue. CO2 cryotherapy cuts the healing time in half on most wounds and injuries. It helps with arthritis, laminitis, white line disease, navicular and kills thrush. It can also limit joint injection frequency.
CO2 cryotherapy is quicker and more effectful than ice boots or cold hosing. A targeted CO2 cryotherapy treatment is 1-2 minutes per area of the horse compared to 20 minutes with ice boots. After your horse has a CO2 cryotherapy treatment, wait forty-five minutes or so before exercising or riding. This lets the warmth come back into the blood cells and creates vasodilation. It pushes out all the inflammation and the bad cells. Then it lets oxygen into the blood flow so it gets all good tissue and enhances recovery for the horse.
