When Flavia arrived to P.A.L.S., she wasn't alone. She came with her two kittens, and it didn't take long for them to find loving forever homes.

But while her babies were chosen almost immediately, Flavia was left behind.

For months and months, this beautiful calico girl has been patiently waiting for someone to see what so many of us already know: she is absolutely wonderful.

Flavia is social, affectionate, and loves being around people. She greets visitors with curiosity, enjoys attention, and is always happy to share her love. She's also cat-friendly, making her a great companion for a home with other feline friends.

Like any young adult cat, Flavia has a playful side too. She loves toys, enjoys exploring, and brings joy and personality wherever she goes. She has all the beauty of a calico and all the sweetness you could ask for in a best friend.

It's heartbreaking to think that after raising her kittens and watching them find homes of their own, Flavia is still waiting for her turn.

She has spent months and months hoping for a family to call her own. Months of being overlooked. Months of waiting for that one person to say, "She's the one."

Could that person be you?

Please help us give Flavia the happy ending she deserves by sharing her story. Let's find this deserving girl the forever home she's been waiting so patiently for. ā¤ļø

As National Vet Tech Week comes to a close, we want to extend our sincerest gratitude to all of the veterinary technicians that have taken care of our P.A.L.S. cats. Our cats are lucky to have kind, gentle, and caring hands take care of them in their time of need. Many of our medical cases involve cats that have never experienced a loving human until they were cared for by you!

We especially hope all of the wonderful vet techs at VRC, The Cat Hospital of Media, Wissahickon Creek Veterinary Hospital, and Brandywine Valley SPCA that have cared for P.A.L.S. patients have been greeted with gratitude, kind words, and patients on their best behavior this week as you are deservingly celebrated!

URGENT MEDICAL CASE! Pals village we need your help!
ļæ¼

We urgently need funds to save Tuna Maniac’s life. She was picked up as a stray this morning loaded with fleas and starved. Without an immediate blood transfusion, Tuna will not make it. We expect to spend $2,500 unless something else is found because she has to go into ICU for a blood transfusion and other expenses. We will need to see pledges or donations in the amount of half that in order to proceed, so if you can help, please either donate or pledge here. We sure do deeply appreciate everyone that contributes to save these past lives. It’s not her fault that she was abandoned, she doesn’t know how to survive, and she’s on the edge now. Thank you so much for any support you can give. We appreciate it so very much.

UPDATE:Monday night! We actually got WONDERFUL l news. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, we were able to run an amazing battery of Tests to find out what is wrong. It is especially important in this case because whatever it is, we have to get it treated before we lose the benefit of this transfusion.
We were already able to tell that starvation plays a big role in her near death condition, but sadly that’s not all there is and we had to find it. ļæ¼Right now whatever caused her severe anemia is still in play and her red blood cells are being eaten up and not Replaced. Thanks to your generosity, everyone, we have a diagnosis and she is treatable. Most of the things that could’ve caused this have a much more uncertain outcome than the diagnosis that is actually appropriate here. She is 100% treatable with some time-consuming and consistent care, which she will absolutely get. She will be discharged tomorrow and her journey to healing will be starting and thanks to you all. We had enough money to really do this case right. We’re very grateful. ļæ¼ Many thanks to VRC for coming through with exactly what she needed. She was not an easy or obvious case and they nailed it. So grateful to have them. ļæ¼ And many thanks also to the veterinarians at Philly, who knew how urgent and complicated she was , and the life-saving department at ACCT Philly, who got her to rescue for help so fast .ļæ¼

UPDATE: Tuna has received the necessary blood transfusion. She is still undergoing evaluation and testing. She needs to continue her stay at VRC. The good news is she is eating well and looking brighter.

We appreciate all generous donations! Please look out for the next Tuna update once we have some new news. šŸ’“
