🌱 Join Scrap Soils at Our Upcoming Events! 🌱

Hi friends! We’re looking for passionate volunteers to help us at our upcoming community events! Help us make a real impact by guiding attendees to properly sort their food scraps and trash into the correct bins. Your support helps divert waste from landfills and turns food waste into nutrient-rich compost for Detroit’s gardens and green spaces.

Duties include:

🌿Guiding individuals on proper waste disposal

🍌Assisting with food scrap and compost collection

🧠Educating the community on the importance of composting

This is a great opportunity to get hands-on with sustainability, support your community, and learn more about how Scrap Soils is closing the food loop.

No composting experience required! Just a passion to make Detroit, greener!

🚨DEADLINE IS TODAY🚨

Scrap Soils has joined the Detroit Community Composting Collective Project (DCCCP)! Scrap Soils CEO, Ricky Blanding is Farm Outreach/Education Coordinator for the project.

Become one of Detroit’s Compost Champions! If you apply using the link you can join a free composting curriculum! The city is looking for 200 participants to engage with this pilot to prove that decentralized composting is not only in high demand, but also well within our reach!
