Dr. Jack Moreau opened it up when he first practiced veterinary medicine back in 1989. Dr. Moreau has since retired and Dr. Alexandra Carter has stepped into his shoes. The practice consists of care for small animals such as dogs and cats with occasional rabbits and guinea pigs.

Thankfully, our team got the unwanted treasures out and this little criminal is back to being cute instead of collecting laundry.

🌈🐾 Run free, sweet soul, Herman, aka Hermie.

For so many years, you touched the hearts of everyone on the Destrehan animal team with your sweet spirit, loving heart, goofy personality, and undeniable love for snacks. Whenever you boarded with us, you could usually be found in the practice manager’s office or running through the hospital, entertaining everyone with your joyful presence. You were so much more than a patient—you were family. 🐾

On August 28, Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day, you crossed the Rainbow Bridge. While our hearts are broken, we are grateful for every moment, every smile, every laugh, and every memory you gave us. Your paw prints will forever remain on our hearts, and you will always be remembered and loved by the entire Destrehan animal team. 🌈
