SUNSTAR All-Breed Dog Training

10/15/2026

We are now full for our one-time, two-hour Starter Class on Wed. Nov. 18 at 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the Des Moines Field House!

Our next scheduled Starter Class will be on Wed. Dec. 2 at 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM.

This will be a fun class to get you started "on the right paw" with your new doggo or puppykins, or as a refresher for basic obedience and good manners for any dog (and for us dog owners!), and also for advice on helping us and our furry family members navigate the busyness of the upcoming "howl-idays"! 😄
Please register soon so you don't miss out as class size is limited- here is the online registration--- https://apps.daysmartrecreation.com/dash/x/desmoines/programs ---or you can call Field House staff during business hours 206 870 6527 to register over the phone and with any additional questions too!

Violet 🐾, Holly 🐾, and I 😊 hope to see you soon, Thanks! Jan with SUNSTAR All-Breed Dog Training 🌞⭐️

We had our Basic Obedience/Good Manners graduation class last night, and everyone did great!
(We had a lot of absences where folks let us know they wouldn't make it, and we missed them, but we appreciated their letting us know.)
The three sweet doggos who did their individual Heeling with Sit Stays, turns, slow and fast, Figure "8", Recall with Sit Stay, and then group Sit Stay, Stand Stay, and Down Stay, did FABULOUS! 🥳
I am SO happy for Hazel, Juniper, and Harley, and their families- Congratulations and Thank You All! 🐾🐾🐾

I had certified Therapy Dogs for over 30 years- it is such a wonderful heart-warming volunteer experience! I highly recommend it, and if you are interested, consider joining my friend Diana's Therapy Dog Prep class coming up! 🥰🐾🐾

Thank Goodness it is cooler today, time for a dog walk in a bit😊🐾🐾 Let's all please keep our dogs under proper control when they are out and about with us! I walk my trained, leashed doggos almost daily all around our beautiful areas here, but unfortunately often have to deal with dog owners who don't have their dogs on leash or under proper control. PLEASE let's all be polite, respectful, and caring, and not allow our dogs to run around loose or approach others without their permission- we all Thank You!🩷
