This opportunity is open to current IHSA members in the following divisions:

IHSA is proud to continue the tradition of the Junior Performance Cup! The Performance Cup rewards junior exhibitor riders showing in performance divisions and highlights their accumulated achievements throughout the show season. This award is presented to the top performing nominated youth show rider in Iowa. It is awarded based on points earned at shows throughout the show season. Nominated riders keep track of their points to work towards earning the overall performance highpoint award at the annual IHSA banquet.

Introducing...the IHSA Youth Achievement Program!

The goal of this program is to promote a love and appreciation for all the different areas in which horses can be used, as well as allowing youth to explore different employment opportunities within the equine industry.

Any youth participant who signs up can earn points doing things many riders already do: taking lessons, showing, volunteering, learning, participating in Junior Judging, watching horse shows, helping at the barn, and so much more!

All participants will earn a sash ribbon based on the amount of points they earn through the season. There are four tiers based on points earned: Sapphire, Ruby, Emerald, and Diamond. The participants who complete all four points sections and have the highest point count will be eligible for scholarship reward money, awarded to a champion and a reserve champion at the annual banquet.

This program is open to ALL youth riders. Participants must be members of IHSA to nominate for the Youth Achievement Program (YAP).
