It's been a while since I gave an update on my eye injury. Not much change in my vision of my right eye. My last check showed very high pressures in the eye, so new eye drops. I go back to Iowa City the end of this month. He may schedule another surgery to remove the oil bubble that was placed to protect the retina. It's hard waiting so long but he had said it would be a 6 month to a year to know what will happen. I still am not driving as my balance and depth perception are not always good. My husband helps when he is not working by driving me to sits. He has been wonderful! It's hard for me to sit still after 18 years in business but it is what it is. Thank you for your continued support.

Quick up date on my traumatic eye injury . Seems like it's been more than a week and a half. Many trips to Iowa City
First surgery was done on Dec 19th also to get potassium levels up. I was released after 3 days and had to return 2 days later for a recheck of the eye .following week I saw a rent a specialist. I had no vision at all at this point. So a week ago Thursday I had a more intense to check the retna and do many repairs. I have an oil bubble in place to keep the rental safe. And many stitches in eye
Next day follow up I could blurring see the drs finger . I wanted to cry as I could see something! Vision is still blurry but to be expected. Check yesterday looked good. Just a very long process. Thank you who have check in on me. Still not safe to drive. Nurse Rick has been amazing ( my hubby)

Hi everyone. 2023 has had a few challenges
My dad's heath and his passing in October
If you have gone through this you know how much to be done to get the estate and the household items ready for auction
And now I have a serious eye injury after a fall over a week ago
I have no vision in right eye currently
I was sent to University of Iowa hospital by ambulance last Monday
Had surgery on Tuesday and lots of potassium as my levels were very low. My husband has been driving to visits for people out of town. He is so wonderful ❤️
I will have a more extensive surgery in IA City tomorrow
Hoping to get some sight back at some point. This has been very difficult for myself and my husband. Hope to be back soon.

Some days are emotional. Today was one of them for me. I have been there with clients when they had to have their pets put to sleep. I have been a listening ear through the grief of a lost pet or even a human loved one. Today was a difficult day for me. A long time client had contacted me a year ago to set up arrangements for her cats should something happen to her
Of course I agreed. She is now in hospice care and I needed to take her last sweet kitty to Avondale Hospital to be checked out before he goes to Animal Lifeline of Iowa .I will admit I cried the whole drive as he didn't understand what was happening. And I am sappy anyways. But hopefully Sandy will find a great home
He is a sweet 10 year old cat.

Update: his sweet owner passed peacefully today and knowing Sandy was taken care of. 💕

My dad passed away peacefullly this last Sunday. He was a good man and a great dad.❤️I will be taking this week off and next weekend. Thank you for understanding.

Ok, I have not had a day off 7 days a week or left the state of Iowa in just over 2 years. Thinking hubby and I will go see our Navy son on the East coast. Probably October 5th to the 13th. Just a heads up. New grandbaby will be coming soon in September and I have grandma duty for Aya while they are at the hospital. Things are changing but better for me and my family. Thank you for understanding.
