Stoked to join this market again! We had such a great time last year and saw sooo many friends. We’ll have lots of new goodies and giftables this year too.
See you there! 🤍

AUTUMN NO. 03 HEARTH & HARVEST

A little autumn warmth in every bottle. Slow baked apples, brown sugar, cinnamon basil, & cloves come together in this cozy, small-batch kombucha inspired by the first cold nights of the season.

HUGE thank you to all the folks that showed up to our community event on Sunday. It was wonderful to spend an afternoon harvesting and sharing a meal with these hard workers!!

A special thanks to The Beans for continued land access, Iowa Food Cooperative Roots & Rewards members for making this event a special success, Cultivate Food Connections for organizing, Oak Park for continuing to support local food, and United Way of Central Iowa for grant funding signage and packaging. Plus all of you that support us through farmers markets— you help fund us in doing this meaningful work.

307 # of fresh produce for our community fridges in just one afternoon! Let’s make 2027 even more impactful!

Well, our sweet corn was a total fail this year. All the rain in July stunted multiple plantings and the later rains caused silks to rot. However our Bloody Butcher Corn (for milling) and our Glass Gem Corn (for popping) may just make it 🤞🏼. We hope to have some available at the end of farmers market or at the very least our holiday markets!

Farmers Market Season isn’t over yet! 🖤

Happy birthday to my partner in farming and in life, Parker! 🤍

He can spot a mushroom from a mile away, build a farm stand in two hours, and a wizard at fermenting hot sauces. He makes all my dreams come true, and he is simply the best.

Catch him at our holiday markets this season—Downtown Winter Market and Val Air Holiday Fair. Make sure to say hi! 🤍

🌿 MARKET UPDATE

We won’t be at the final Uptown Ankeny Farmers Market tomorrow but we’ll be at the Des Moines Downtown Farmers Market rain or shine! (but probably rain).

These last couple weeks of rain have put a real damper on our markets but wanted to say thank you, Ankeny, for having us — we’ve loved being part of your summer. 💚

We’re bringing three new kombucha flavors to Downtown:

Endless Summer — cantaloupe • raspberry • mint
Spicy Slice — watermelon • habanero
Rise & Brine — cucumber • dill • coriander

Come grab a bottle (or three) and beat these rainy blues with a taste of bottled sunshine.
