Hi frens, it me… Kitten John Pork 🐷🐱

Mom says I am not allowed to use the rescue page for “begging,” but I told her it is called NETWORKING.

Anyway… the tiny potatoes and all the mama kitties wanted me to make an important announcement:

WE NEED WET FOOD.

Like… a lot of wet food.

The rescue has multiple litters right now, which means there are MANY tiny mouths screaming for snacks approximately every 12 seconds. The moms are also eating like competitive athletes because making soup babies is hard work.

Thankfully, some really amazing humans recently donated a bunch of dry food, so crunchies are not the biggest need right now. But the squishy stinky gourmet canned foods? Those are disappearing FAST.

The rescue always tries really hard to save money for important things like fixing kitties and paying for medical care, vaccines, deworming, and all the other expensive cat stuff humans complain about. So food donations really help offset costs and allow them to keep helping more cats.

So if you are able to donate a few cans of wet food, the babies, the moms, and especially ME, Kitten John Pork, would be very grateful.

🚨 FOSTERS NEEDED 🚨

Kitten season is here, and it honestly feels like kittens are falling out of the sky right now. We have been contacted about multiple moms with newborn babies, single kittens, teenage kittens, and adult cats needing rescue — but the heartbreaking reality is that we cannot take them in if we do not have foster homes available.

Right now, we are desperately looking for fosters in the Des Moines and Burien areas (or nearby). Because all of us work full-time jobs, staying somewhat local helps us respond quickly if fosters need supplies, medical support, or emergencies arise.

We are looking for people willing to foster:

🐾 Moms with kittens
🐾 Litters of kittens
🐾 Single kittens
🐾 Teenagers
🐾 Adult cats

We provide the supplies needed — these babies just need a safe place to land.

Every time we have to say no due to lack of placement, it is absolutely heartbreaking. There are kittens outside growing up without safety, moms struggling to care for babies, and friendly cats with nowhere to go.

If you have a spare room, bathroom, office, or even just a little extra space and love, you can truly save lives.

UPDATE ON YESTERDAY'S EMERGENCY FOSTER FAMILY 🐾

We were able to get this family safely into one of our local foster homes late last night.

While we are incredibly thankful they are now out of that situation, this little family has clearly been through a tremendous amount of trauma.

Unfortunately, mama cat is showing some aggression right now — but after what she endured, we truly cannot blame her.

After the apartment was raided and tear gas was deployed inside, the apartment complex trapped the cats, placed them into storage totes with little holes drilled into the sides, and that is how they came to us. These poor cats remained confined like that for close to 24 hours before rescue was able to step in.

During all of that chaos, mama was also separated from her kittens.

She is frightened, stressed, and in full protection mode.

Right now, we are giving her the space, quiet, and time she needs to decompress and hopefully begin to understand that she and her babies are finally safe and that no one is going to take them from her again.

Please continue to send all the good vibes and keep this sweet family in your thoughts as they settle in. We are hoping the next few days bring some peace, healing, and trust. ❤️

🚨 EMERGENCY FOSTER NEEDED 🚨

We were contacted today by an apartment complex regarding a heartbreaking situation.
It sounds as though a unit was recently raided by SWAT, and in the midst of everything, a mom cat, dad cat, and their two babies were left behind inside the apartment.

Family members have been contacted but are unable to care for them, and we do not want to leave this little family without help.

We are willing to take them into rescue — but we urgently need an emergency foster home to place them in.

At this time, all we are asking for is:

✔️ A spare room or safe quiet space
✔️ A temporary place for this family to decompress
✔️ Someone local to the Des Moines / Burien area if possible

We will provide food and supplies for the time being — we simply need a safe home to get them out of this situation.

This poor family has already been through enough chaos and deserves somewhere warm, quiet, and secure while we figure out next steps.

Happy Monday! Little ms Summer and Autumn got adopted over the weekend and we couldn’t be happier!
These girls came from a colony in Pierce county and were just so loving and sweet!
Statistically the more friendly cats do not ‘last’ living the colony life. Feral kitties do well (especially after being TNR’d) because they have learned to keep themselves safe by not trusting people, generally staying hidden in plain sight and utilizing the buddy system.

We’re out here doing our best getting these colony kitties fixed, but whew… the bills are billin’. And right now? The tom cats are really living up to their chaotic reputations — we’re seeing a lot of battle wounds lately 😅
Cue the antibiotics (not cheap, but very necessary for these scrappy little bad boys.
