Dooker's retreat Ferret boarding in my private home. I ferret board from my private home. Any ferrets I take in are vet funded by my business. Avaliable for educational set ups.

Boy, spending the day on a heating pad made Timber young again when I let him out last night. I was shocked and happy when I was going threw my camera alerts and found this ❤️

This, is a small victory picture for Old Mr. Murr Man. With 3 hours of sleep and him under the covers on my chest till 1am, he is finally recovering from an insulinoma crash. He took his meds like a champ this morning, and he will be waited on like a king this weekend and monitored.
I noticed a day ago he wasn't eating as much between soupies. I believe since the weather changed cooler, his old man body has been sleeping more and not getting up to munch like he normally does. So we will be watching that also. I might have to get another old ferret fart heating pad.....Timber is using the other one right now AND HIS JOINTS LOVE IT.

***side note, Always keep back up batteries on hand for the alphatrak 3, mine was dead last night and I couldn't get his bg.....so to be safe, it was slow and steady and not just shoving sugar into him. This is very important advice....I've had insulinoma switch to diabetic without clear warning. If you can't get a bg reading go the slow safe way. Taking a guess and going full force into a sugar jump, could cost your ferret it's life.

We said good bye to Nunes today. Liver failure. I hope Noel was there to greet her at the bridge.

Please keep Nunes in your thoughts and prayers. She seemed to be doing better after her last vet visit, and this morning...

Please keep Nunes in your thoughts and prayers. She seemed to be doing better after her last vet visit, and this morning was feeling really bad again. She goes back to the vet tomorrow morning (so thankful they can get her in). The poor little girl, I think she is tired of fighting everything life threw at her. Losing her sister in June didn't help her (or her brother).

Well.....Buttons went threw all the treats I had and said "NOPE" do i thought making a little soupie with his kibble would make him happy for a treat time......what do you think?
