CURRENT ROSTER UPDATE 10/20. ‼️ Last day to sign up is the 25!

🍀 Below is the current roster for the club. If you don't see your kids' names but are in 4-H and would like to join, please message the page. Last day to sign up / pay fees is October 25th.

‼️IF NO 🐕 SYMBOL BY NAME then your dog hasn't been approved and cannot attend the next meeting. A dog is not required to attend dog club.

🗓️ Next meeting dates:
October. 25th
November. 8th and 22nd
December. 6th and 20th
January: 3rd and 17th
February: 7th and 21st
March: 7th and 21st
April: 4th and 18th
May: 2nd

🍀 Things kids will need to bring with their dogs to meetings:

‼️ $40 club fee to first meeting. Can send via zelle to [email protected] or bring cash to meeting.

✅️ Dog favorite stuffed kong, or chew item to keep them busy during our talk in club.

✅ 2 to 4 bags of all-natural low-cal treats they normally like. I recommend these brands: Real Meat, Instincts Raw Boosters, Ziwi Peaks, Pet Botanics Training Rewards, and Train Me Treats.

✅ Also may need bonus treats like hotdogs, cheese, Viennas, etc to really motivate your dogs.

✅ Treat pouch to hold treats.

✅ Regular leash (no retractables)

✅ harness/collar (no choke chains/prongs) with up-to-date tags.

‼️ Parents, I have roughly 12 chairs at the facility for adults so if anyone would like to bring your lawn chairs for kids, you are more than welcome.

‼️When arriving at Einstein K9s at 216 Mahlon Street Please potty your dogs and pick up after them in the grassy area.

‼️Please be mindful that though no aggressive dogs are allowed in club meetings, keep a good distance between every one as it can become uncomfortable for some dogs to be close to others.

🎉 WELCOME EVERYONE! 🎉feel free to share!

🔵 Its that time of year when Einstein K9s is teaming up with Beauregard and Vernon Parish 4-H to provide local youth in the area with a fantastic, educational DOG CLUB for 2026 school year!

🔵 Open to ages 9 - 18, the Dog club's program will focus on learning:

👉 The history of dogs' domestication and evolution
👉 Difference in breed characteristics and how to choose the right one for you
👉 Anatomy and physiology
👉 Basic cost and care of a dog
👉 Proper nutrition and health
👉 Dog body language and communication
👉 Dog bite safety
👉 Types of employment that include dogs

🔵 Will include hands-on dog training and activities like:

👉 Basics Obedience skills
👉AKC canine good citizen and star puppy
👉 Nose work / Scent detection
👉 Tricks
👉 Dog fitness
👉 Competitions and so much more!

🔵 2 meetings a month led by Certified Professional Dog Trainer Savannah Dubose at Einstein K9s Dog Training in Deridder located at 216 Mahlon Street.

🗓️ Meeting will be held ever other sunday. Next one is October 11th @ 3:00pm.

💰 $40 will be needed to join this year to help cover cost of materials as well as utilities of the building.

‼️ NO MEETING TODAY ‼️

With the bad weather coming in meeting is canceled. Many dogs get stressed during inclement weather and no one wants that at meetings as well as driving saftey for thise that travel.

Keeping an eye on weather today as were supposed to get some storms in around meeting time.

Still currently planning on having the meeting however will be canceled in rain/thunderstorms so check page before heading up there!
