It is with a heavy heart that we would like to share with you that our very precious Peg crossed the Rainbow Bridge on Monday, September 14th. She was 1 month shy of being 18 years old. Peg came to us in January of 2009, injured. She was found with a mangled leg and was in need of help. Our doctors removed her leg and when she woke from surgery, she was ready to play and be a part of the RVVC family. Peg was petite, spicy and had an ever present force. She would run to lay on the packing paper freshly pulled from boxes, or sit on top of the boxes until they were emptied of their contents. She was not a fan of many things.... dogs, other cats, children, adults or things that moved to quickly for her liking. But, she loved her RVVC family. We all loved her dearly. After her best friend George passed away, she starting being more present in the lobby for naps and leisure time. In her older age, she became more tolerant of being social, if only for short periods of time. When she was finished, she would become very vocal and demanding until you followed her commands. Please keep us in your thoughts. She has been a beautiful piece of our puzzle for what will never seem like long enough. ๐๐พ๐
