🐾❤️ THE END OF AN ERA ❤️🐾

After 12 amazing years of raising dogs, we have made the incredibly difficult decision that Dart's Dazzling Dogs will no longer be breeding puppies.
This decision did not come easy. Raising and loving these dogs has been such a huge part of our lives and our family for so many years. We have experienced so much joy, made so many memories, and met so many wonderful people along the way—many of whom started as puppy families and have become lifelong friends. ❤️
Over the years, we have also experienced the difficult side of breeding. Losing our beloved male, Wh***ey, was incredibly hard on us. With the current economic struggles, we have also found it increasingly difficult to find the wonderful forever homes that every puppy deserves.
Most recently, we experienced one of the hardest heartbreaks we have faced when a litter was born prematurely and we lost all but two precious puppies. 💔
Brandy was the last of our Aussie lines from River and Wh***ey. After the recent premature loss, and knowing that premature labor can potentially be a recurring issue, we have decided it is time to spay her and allow her to simply enjoy life as our beloved family dog.
Our sweet Zoey, our Golden Retriever, has given us a few beautiful litters over the years. She is beginning to show her age now, with that precious gray appearing on her face, and she doesn't recover after a litter as quickly as she once did. For us, that is our sign that she is ready to retire and enjoy the rest of her life being spoiled like she deserves. ❤️
While this truly feels like the end of an era, we are so incredibly thankful for every dog, every puppy, every family, and every memory that Dart's Dazzling Dogs has brought into our lives.

🐾 But please don't go anywhere! 🐾

We absolutely LOVE seeing updates from our previous litters and watching our puppies grow up with their families. We hope you will continue to follow our page and keep sharing pictures and updates with us! Seeing our babies happy and loved will always mean the world to us. ❤️

Our family is entering a new chapter now and focusing more on camping, family time, and enjoying our little farm. 🚐🌻🐐 We also have several Nigerian Dwarf goats due soon and raise chicks every year, so we will definitely still get our baby fix! 😂🐥🐐
And of course, our two remaining Golden Aussie puppies, Baylee and Buster, are growing and doing absolutely wonderful! 🥰
We will be sharing a photo of where our journey began with our very first litter, alongside our last litter. What a beautiful, emotional reminder of just how far this journey has taken us. ❤️
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for supporting Dart's Dazzling Dogs for the past 12 years. This isn't goodbye to the page or to all of the wonderful families we've met...
It's simply the beginning of a new chapter. ❤️🐾
Forever grateful for our Dazzling Dogs family.

Keep Natalie in your thoughts today as she said goodbye to a very special longtime friend, Winston. ❤️🐾
Winston was one of our very first litters and lived a wonderful 11 years. It truly means so much to me to have had the opportunity to bring these puppies into the world and then watch them grow, thrive, and become such an important part of their families.
There is no greater reward than seeing one of your puppies living their best life, surrounded by a loving family, and even getting to share that love with the next generation. ❤️
Darts Dazzling Dogs has brought so many amazing people into my life, and Natalie and her family are one of those families I am incredibly grateful for.
Rest easy, sweet Winston. You were loved, you were cherished, and you will always be a part of the Darts Dazzling Dogs family. 🌈🐾❤️

💔🐾 The first week of these little GoldenAussies' lives has been quite the journey.
This post is overdue but honestly life has been wild and I’ve been searching for the words.

We sadly lost several puppies, I believed Brandy may have accidentally laid on them, so I pulled the remaining puppies and began supervised nursing every two hours. Despite our efforts, we lost another puppy overnight.

At that point, I started bottle feeding around the clock and began paying close attention to what was happening. I noticed the puppies were moving their mouths as if they wanted to nurse, but they weren't actually sucking. They simply didn't have a strong suck reflex yet. I had the due date on the calendar as 7/31 but wasn’t 100% sure when she was bred. After putting everything together our best guess is the babies were born a week early. Which would explain everything and being that premature we’re lucky we still have two with us. (Puppies only have a 2 month gestation total).

With a lot of patience, I worked with each puppy, gently encouraging them to latch and slightly pulling the bottle away to help trigger the sucking motion. Once they got a little milk and started understanding what to do, they gradually began figuring it out.

These little puppies have already shown so much determination. Every feeding, every ounce gained, and every day they grow stronger feels like a victory.

Brandy really was a good mom. She tried her best! We ultimately had to slightly medicate her to help her cope with the “loss” and confusion of pulling her babies away. It broke our hearts but we couldn’t chance the loss of more. She is now feeling much better and back to herself. She has been spoiled and recovering well. She gets extra treats and love! She’s enjoying playing with her stuffies again and enjoying running outside. She never left her babies side and overall she did the best she could’ve.

Thank you to everyone who has been following along. We are grateful for every one of you and are cheering on these little fighters every step of the way. ❤️🐾

Meet Baylee and Buster!

One of our tiny GoldenAussie puppies decided my thumb was the perfect place for a snack. These little babies are already showing off their strong nursing instincts, and it's about the sweetest thing you'll watch today. ❤️
Warning: Cuteness overload ahead! 🐶💕

🐾 GoldenAussie Puppy Update – Day 1 🖤

Unfortunately, we did lose one of the puppies. 💔 Brandy accidentally laid on it, which is one of the heartbreaking risks that can happen with newborn puppies, especially with first-time moms. While it's never easy, Brandy is doing an incredible job caring for the rest of her babies. She hardly wants to leave the whelping box, is keeping everyone warm, and all of the puppies are nursing well and gaining strength.

Now for some of today's sweet highlights... ❤️
🐾 We have two puppies with the cutest little white dots on their foreheads.
🤍 One puppy has an adorable heart-shaped marking on its chest.
🐶 A few of the puppies have little naturally bobbed (nubby) tails, just like their Aussie momma.
🥹 And one tiny baby decided my thumb looked like lunch and started nursing on it! (I'll be sharing that video because it's too cute not to!)
Every litter has its own unique personalities and markings, and we're already enjoying getting to know these little ones. We appreciate every one of you and can't wait to continue sharing their journey over the next several weeks. ❤️

🎉 SURPRISE!! 👋🐾
Someone wanted to be the first to say hello! 💛
We're so excited to announce that 7 beautiful GoldenAussies made their arrival this morning! Momma and babies are all doing great.
The Litter:
🖤 4 Females
🖤 3 Males
Every puppy is black with adorable white markings on their toes, chest, and belly. One sweet little girl even has a tiny white ⭐ on her forehead!
The Parents:
🐾 Mom: Brandy – AKC Australian Shepherd (Black Tri)
🐾 Dad: AKC Golden Retriever
GoldenAussies are known for combining the intelligence, loyalty, and eagerness to learn of an Australian Shepherd with the gentle, affectionate personality of a Golden Retriever. They make wonderful family companions and love being involved in whatever their people are doing.
This is only the second time we've made this cross, and our first litter has grown into some absolutely amazing dogs. We couldn't be more excited to watch these little ones grow!
🐾 Already have a GoldenAussie from us (or another breeder)? We'd LOVE to see them!
For those wondering, no merles were expected in this litter since Brandy is a Black Tri Australian Shepherd.
If you've been thinking about adding a GoldenAussie to your family, send us a message! We'd be happy to answer your questions and tell you more about this special litter.

Brandy Update-
Apparently she was not ready to be a mother. Although we had several ties, she did not get pregnant. Apparently we caught her too late in the cycle. There’s a first for everything 🤷‍♀️

Some updates:
Brooklyn is so excited to start showing Ellie. She had her first class on Monday without the dog to learn about it and what to expect. She’s extremely happy and ready to start working. She’s showing more interest so far in this than she has anything else she’s tried so I’m expecting big things from this team.

Brandy is due March 18th. This is her very first litter so we will be learning about her and how she handles pregnancy. So far she isn’t showing many signs of pregnancy. She does look a little thicker. But not progressing in any other ways. I’m personally expecting puppies but probably not a big litter. Stay tuned as we’ll get closer and hopefully have some little noses joining us in the next few weeks.
