Let’s Get Ghost Home 🏠♥️
If you’ve followed us for a while, you’re familiar with Ghost, a 6-year-old blind German Shepherd. Ghost was brought to the Dog Shelter and quickly discovered to have glaucoma, but don’t let that worry you: Ghost navigates the world in his own special way. He’s currently in a foster home while he searches for his true companions.
Ghost is an incredible dog. He is impressively smart, loyal, affectionate, and in true Shepherd fashion, a little mischievous. Ghost’s current fosters live in the city. Because Ghost can’t see, his sense of hearing is much stronger than the average dog, which means city living is hard for him. We’re hoping to change that by finding his forever home, or a foster with a quieter lifestyle.
A little more about Ghost: This gorgeous German Shepherd loves to walk, run, hike, and play in the snow. Ghost thrives outside; his current fosters report that Ghost is a completely different dog when the stressful sounds of the city disappear, and the fresh mountain air hits his face. He’s been known to just relax outside, absorbing all the sounds and smells nature has to offer.
Ghost’s ideal home is active, with a fenced yard, in a more rural setting. His true companion is patient, adventurous, and does not have any other pets. A low-traffic home with a predictable routine is all it takes to give Ghost the peace he deserves.
