⭐Why should you only use a professional pet sitter?⭐

The growing need for pet care has prompted many tech companies and venture capitalists to enter the industry in recent years to launch pet-care apps and similar platforms, and individuals have joined the gig economy to earn extra cash as an occasional pet sitter or dog walker.

However, for pet parents who want the best care for their pets, selecting a professional pet-sitting or dog-walking company is a must!

Seeking out the services of a local professional pet-sitting business ensures you are utilizing the services of a local professional that is rooted in your community, involved in local pet-related efforts and is contributing to your local economy

PSI advises pet parents to do their due diligence to ensure they are hiring true professionals. The association offers a few tips:

1️⃣Schedule an in-person meeting. 👉PSI advises pet parents to schedule an in-person meeting with any potential pet sitter they are considering. This “meet and greet” or “initial consultation” gives pet parents an opportunity to meet the pet sitter, see them interact with their pets, and review their services as well as their credentials and policies.

2️⃣Ask the right questions. 👉PSI’s free Pet Sitter Interview Checklist includes important questions every pet parent should ask—from whether the pet-sitting company is bonded and insured to whether they use a pet-sitting services agreement or contract.

3️⃣Ask for recommendations if needed. 👉Don’t delay booking your professional pet sitter. Many professional pet sitters find that their summer schedules get booked up quickly. If the professional pet-sitting service you contact is booked, be sure to ask them for a recommendation, as most are happy to provide referrals to other reputable pet-sitting companies in your area.

OK! WE'RE IN TROUBLE!

These are the recent intakes. Almost all of them have medical needs that have to be treated. Which ain't cheap!! 😬

Six of these babies are going to the vet on Friday:
1) Wendy: getting spayed & vaccinated
2) Jack: he came in with a head tilt; it's not getting better with meds so it's time for head xrays
3) Carlotta: getting spayed, fiv/felv tested, vaccinations, and dental
4) Domino: getting spayed, fiv/felv tested, vaccinations, and dental
5) Bell: having a dental
6) Jollibee: getting spayed, fiv/felv tested, vaccinations, and dental

I fully expect our bill to be $3000-4000. And I don't have it.
