Okay, real talk for a second. The backpacks are back by the door, the mornings are chaos again, and by 8:30 the house goes completely silent.

We see it every year around this time. Dogs who spent all summer with kids underfoot suddenly have six or seven quiet hours to fill. Some nap through it like champs. Others pace, bark at every delivery truck, or greet you at 5pm like they have been holding the whole house together by themselves. Because honestly, they kind of have.

A midday walk or a quick drop-in visit breaks that long stretch right in half. Same house, same smells, same sunny spot on the rug. Just a familiar face showing up so the day does not feel endless.
