Your pup is ALWAYS learning...meaning while you're trying to figure out the best way to train your new puppy, he/she is ALREADY being trained by the environment you've created, and associations they're figuring out. Sometimes these associations end up working in our favor. Unfortunately, sometimes they don't and our puppies think:

"If I bite my human's feet while they're on the toilet, they can't get up, and it'll be a lot of fun!"

"If I sit below them while they make a quesadilla, sometimes cheese will fall, so I'm going to keep doing this"

"It's scary because my human gets mad at me if I p*e here near them, so I'm doing to p*e in the closet where they can't see so I feel safe"

"OMG my human has been gone for SOOO long...When I jump on my human, they get excited and say 'NO' which is SO NICE they give me attention which is exactly what I NEEDED...I should keep jumping when I've been home alone & deprived of attention!"
