🐾 Feed a Rescue Pet Week 🐾
July 26 – August 1

Every bowl of food can change a life.

This Feed a Rescue Pet Week, take a moment to help pets waiting for their forever homes. Animal shelters and rescue organizations work tirelessly to provide food, medical care, and love to homeless animals—but they can't do it alone.

Here are a few ways you can make a difference:
🐶 Donate pet food or treats to your local shelter.
🐱 Purchase supplies from a rescue's wish list.
❤️ Volunteer your time or consider fostering.
🏡 If you're ready, adopt and give a deserving pet a loving home.

Even the smallest act of kindness helps ensure that every pet has a full belly and hope for a brighter future.

Together, we can make a difference—one meal, one donation, and one loving home at a time. 🐾

Our clinic will be accepting donations of unexpired, unopened dog and cat food through August 1. Thank you for helping us support pets in need!

🐾 Fireworks & Thunderstorms: Help Keep Your Pet Calm 🐾

Loud noises like fireworks and thunderstorms can be frightening for many pets. Signs of anxiety may include pacing, panting, trembling, hiding, excessive vocalizing, destructive behavior, or attempts to escape.

The good news is that there are many safe and effective ways to help your pet feel more comfortable, including:

• Prescription anti-anxiety medications for pets with moderate to severe noise fears.
• Calming supplements and pheromone products that may help reduce stress.
• Anxiety wraps or calming garments that provide gentle, reassuring pressure.
• Creating a quiet, secure "safe space" indoors with familiar bedding, toys, and soothing background noise.
• Behavioral strategies and desensitization training for long-term improvement.

Every pet is different, so the best option depends on your pet's needs, medical history, and level of anxiety.

**Don't wait until the fireworks start.** If your pet struggles with loud noises, contact our clinic before the next storm or holiday so we can discuss the best plan to keep them safe and comfortable.

A little preparation can make a big difference in helping your furry family members weather the noise with less fear.

🚨 PET PARENT ALERT: HEATSTROKE KILLS IN MINUTES 🚨
With temperatures rising, our team wants to remind you that pets can’t cool down like we do. Dogs and cats rely on panting, making them highly vulnerable to heatstroke.
Recognizing the warning signs early can save your pet’s life! 🐾

💡 Prevention is key: Never leave pets in parked cars, limit walks to early mornings, and always provide plenty of shade and fresh water.

📞 Our clinic is here to help! If you suspect your pet is overheating, call us right away at (3030455-2131 or head straight to our clinic at 5495 Federal Blvd., Denver, CO 80221

🎆 **Keep Your Pets Safe This 4th of July!** 🐾

While fireworks are fun for people, they can be frightening and even dangerous for our furry friends. Help keep your pets safe by:

✅ Keeping pets indoors during fireworks displays
✅ Making sure collars and ID tags are up to date
✅ Providing a quiet, comfortable space where they feel secure
✅ Exercising pets earlier in the day to help reduce stress
✅ Keeping party foods, alcohol, and fireworks out of reach

If your pet struggles with noise anxiety, talk to one of our veterinarians before the holiday for advice and possible treatment options.

Have a safe and happy Independence Day! ❤️🤍💙🐶🐱
