Well, it's been a heck of a spring here in east Tennessee!!! Wound up expanding back up to 40 or so and have been consolidating to eliminate the weak and struggling colonies in the groups. That said, the small hive beetles are starting to show up and the ants give me fits occasionally.

But all in all, a lot less work, and once I have my own property again, it'll be a great relief to be able to just walk out and work them in smaller groups as needed instead of a whole yard at a time due to drive times.....looking forward to diversifying my operation and adding other agricultural elements to the mix (yep, been toying with getting back into horses again - somebody should talk me out of that one!!! lmao!!).

I've left all the honey on them to feed them through the upcoming dearth here, just because I don't have time for the extra effort of driving feed around. Most have at least 50-70 # of honey on them, so again, less work!!

God has blessed me more than I deserve and still gives me daily the support and good works to keep my hands busy and doing his will!! It's nice to be loved!! :)

Spring has sprung.....with a vengence!!! lol!! Already doubled my numbers and not even trying. Good thing I decreased my numbers last season or my workload would be ji-normous right now!!! lmao!!!🤣😎🐝🐝🐝

The end of one chapter and the beginning of another. It is with deep sadness, that I have to let go of my business child in order to move on to a better personal life. It's been an incredible journey and although it won't be here on Camano anymore, the few dedicated customers that I have I will truly miss!!

Thanks to those of you who were loyal to my bees and purchased product on order to support them, and ultimately, supporting our farm. These are very unusual times and farming is an art that is at risk, along with it our survival - every purchase we make now needs to be chosen with care and purpose to ensure our very fragile infrastructure of farming stays alive.

So all that said, I will be opening the store back up - not sure yet if it'll be under a different branding or just a name change after the relocation. But the girls are with me where ever I go, so the Camano Island Team bids you all a fond farewell for now!!!

Well - it's that time again. Tons of lifting, sweating, and being sticky all at the same time!! lol!! Honey harvest is just about over and the honey processing has begun!! The yellow jackets seem to be out in force, so it's hard to even clean up outside without getting bit!!

It's been a crazy bee season so far this spring with all the bad weather (raining now as I speak!! lol!!). I have to apologize to all my honey customers this last week - orders have been a bit delayed.....but the dam has finally burst today and massive amounts of honey are going out the door!!!
