Ten years ago our Hike Doggie journey began… Gary signed up his pup, Beauregard, as Hike Doggie’s third-ever client. Over countless weekly hikes, Hike Doggie grew, and Gary watched Kath’s doggie brain-child blossom. Phoenix enrolled her own pups, experiencing the Hike Doggie magic as a dog parent, a community member, and a true believer — first hand.

Fast forward to 2025, Kath approached us about franchising and we launched Hike Doggie Denver East that October! We built the territory from scratch and navigated every stage of franchise ownership firsthand.

Gary’s connection to Hike Doggie goes back further than most. Ten years ago, his yellow lab Beauregard was Hike Doggie’s third-ever client — back when Kath Allen was still chopping turkey treats by hand and planning trails before sunrise. Gary watched the brand grow from its earliest days, and observed what those Colorado trails did for Beau over years of weekly hikes.
Giving Gary something most prospective franchise investors don’t have before they sign — not just confidence in the model, but a decade of proof.

A Denver native, Gary has spent 30 years as Managing Partner at BCLS, developing the operational instincts that translate directly to franchise ownership: strategic thinking, team building, and a deep understanding of what it takes to build something that lasts.
