Owner is no longer able to take care of her and she will be coming to Up Pup. She is currently in Denver and needs to leave TODAY!

8 month old female scruffy. Super sweet and good with other dogs and humans.

We are also working on a plan to see how we can help her former owner, as we gather more information.

Meet Hazel 💓

Sadly Hazel’s story is not unique. She was dumped on the streets of Cleveland, TX and was fighting to survive. A local rescuer reached out for rescue help and we felt drawn to this sweet soul. She didn’t deserve the card she was dealt, and she’s only a puppy 🥹

Hazel is in poor condition but she’s getting the care that she needs. She’s about 5+ months old and will be arriving in Colorado at the end of the month. She’ll need a foster or foster to adopt home.

Adoption Story 🏡

Who remembers little miss Dixie?!

Dixie came to us earlier this year from a partner rescue in TX. She was another unwanted dog in Cleveland, TX (scroll to the end to see baby Dixie). When she arrived in CO, she was definitely nervous around people and was slow to warm up. Her foster spent time building her confidence and helped her blossom (thank you to our amazing fosters!). When it came time for a meet and greet with a potential adopter, her foster suggested a FaceTime call first so the adopter could see her true personality and wouldn’t be put off by her being initially shy. This was the perfect suggestion! After an official meet and greet, Dixie (now Disco), was adopted and is living her best life in the Colorado mountains.

Heres what her her mom says about her:

“We celebrated Disco’s 1st birthday yesterday❣️ she hiked her 1st 13er (after months of prepping!) and enjoyed some puppy-safe cupcakes❣️

She does so well on trail❣️ it’s going great! I couldn’t be happier. She’s been coming out of her shell more and more. Still shy with people but we’re making big strides! She’s been hopping into my friend’s laps and they’re all just melting when she does it! “

‼️We need help paying off these bills…desperately. The past few weeks, we have been clobbered by vet bills (especially ER visits!), transport fees & gas, foster supplies/foster supply reimbursements/food reimbursement.

‼️We have bills totaling $8,928 and really need help paying things off. As a nonprofit 501c3, we run entirely on donations to help fund these costs.‼️ We are not a shelter - we do not get grants from the government.

Our friend, Dr. Sanaz did a fundraiser and was able to fundraiser $983 (thank you!) and an anonymous donor of ($500) so our remaining balance is $7,445.

We need to pay these bills of ASAP.

Anybody able to do a donation match? Or donate something to create a fundraising/raffle event?

Now that all of our animals are in Colorado, our intake remains closed until we pay off debt and get our longest resident dogs adopted.
