Herb has been on doxycycline and prednisone since Thursday. On Saturday, he started developing a fear of the outside and doesn’t act 100% right. I talked to the vet today and they told me to do a fast taper to get him off it. So one pill today one pill tomorrow then stop. We will continue on with the doxycycline.

Scout the beagle followed a rabbit into a wild cave entrance — and the earth swallowed him. Two days. No food. No light. Just stone and dark and his own echoing barks.
On day three, a spelunking team heard something impossible in the lower tunnels: crying. They followed it through squeezes and drops, headlamps sweeping — until the beams landed on two amber eyes.
Scout was thin, filthy, and so happy he couldn't stand still. The team leader, a caver named June, tucked the little beagle inside her jacket for the long climb out — all 200 feet of it, with Scout's nose poking out, sniffing freedom.
At the surface, his owner — who'd camped at the entrance for three days — collapsed to her knees.
"He followed a rabbit into hell," June said, "and we followed his voice out."
Two hundred feet of dark. One little voice. Would you climb down for it?

Pourtant, Max refusa d'abandonner.

Parvo kills 9 out of 10 puppies without treatment. Nurse Dana refused to accept it.

The 6-week-old puppy — no name, just a number — was crashing: dehydrated, lifeless, given 24 hours. Dana, the overnight shelter nurse, took him home against protocol and set alarms every 2 hours: fluids, drop by drop, through the night. Then the next night. Then six more.
On night 8, the puppy lifted his head. On night 10, he wagged.
She named him Chance. Because that's all he needed — one.
Chance is 3 now, 70 pounds of goofball, and Dana's shadow. She says he still wakes her at 2 AM sometimes — just to make sure she's there. 💧🐶
Have you ever fought for a life everyone gave up on? 👇

This is Robert Hayes. 33 years old. Navy. Deployed three times between 2015 and 2020. PTSD nightmares every night for six years. Violent ones. Screaming. Thrashing so hard he's injured himself. Broken his hand punching the wall. Cracked ribs from falling out of bed. His girlfriend moved out two years ago. Said she couldn't handle the nightmares anymore. Robert's psychiatrist recommended an elite PTSD service dog with advanced nightmare detection training. Cost: $40,000. Waiting list: eighteen months. Robert works as a mechanic. Can't afford $40,000. Can't wait eighteen months. So last year he adopted Luna from a rescue. Three-year-old German Shepherd. Surrendered because her previous owner said she "alerts to nothing," "won't sleep through the night," and "acts anxious for no reason." First month Luna came home, Robert's nightmares didn't stop. But something was different. He wasn't waking up screaming anymore. Just waking up with Luna on his chest. Calm. Confused. Robert installed professional night vision cameras to figure out what was happening. Last night's footage shows everything. 3:04 AM. Robert is lying in bed. Completely still. Eyes closed. Sound asleep. Not moving. Not making sounds. Luna is on the floor beside the bed. Luna suddenly lifts her head. Stares at Robert. Robert still hasn't moved. No thrashing. No sounds. Nothing visible. But Luna sees something. Luna jumps onto the bed. Lies across Robert's chest. Full body weight. Deep pressure. Robert's eyes open. Calm. No panic. No screaming. Just opens his eyes. Sees Luna. Whispers: "You caught it again, didn't you?" Pets Luna. Both go back to sleep. Robert showed the footage to his psychiatrist. She brought in a service dog specialist. They analyzed twenty-three nights of footage. Specialist said: "Luna is detecting Robert's nightmares in the initial onset phase. We're talking about facial micro-twitches. Finger movements. Breathing pattern changes. Things invisible to the human eye. She's preventing full nightmare development before it even begins. That's $40,000-level detection work. Most service dogs react after screaming starts. Luna reacts to changes most trained dogs miss." The "alerting to nothing" that got Luna surrendered? She was detecting things humans can't perceive. Now that same sensitivity saves Robert every single night. One owner's annoyance is another person's lifesaving early warning system. Sometimes the dog everyone said was "too anxious" is actually too perceptive for people who don't need saving.

One heartbreaking photo is all it takes for someone to finally see the dog who has been waiting to be loved. 🥺🐾

This little dog was sitting quietly inside a New Mexico animal shelter while potential adopters walked past her kennel. A volunteer captured her sad-looking expression, and the photo quickly touched people online.

Although the tears in her eyes were reportedly linked to an eye infection rather than sadness, her frightened expression showed just how difficult shelter life can be. The photo soon reached thousands of people, and messages began pouring in from those who wanted to know how they could help her.

Then came the moment everyone was hoping for: she was adopted. Her new family came to take her home, and she finally got to trade the shelter kennel for loving arms and a forever family.

Without warning, a sinkhole opened beneath a dog park outside Rochester, New York, swallowing nearly eight feet of the walking path and dragging Rosco down with the collapsing edge before his owner could grab his leash. The hole had likely been forming underground for weeks, hollowed out by an old drainage pipe nobody knew had failed.

Rosco landed on a ledge about 12 feet down, held up by a slab of broken concrete that groaned under his weight every time he shifted. His owner couldn't see him at all from the surface, just heard frantic barking echoing up from somewhere in the dark.

Utility crews responding to the initial 911 call brought a harness rig usually reserved for manhole rescues, lowering a technician down on a rope while two coworkers monitored the slab for further movement from above. The technician talked to Rosco the whole way down, keeping his voice steady so the dog wouldn't panic and shift his weight wrong.

He clipped the harness around Rosco with the slab still groaning beneath them both, then signaled the crew above to haul them up together in one pull instead of two. The whole extraction took just under 40 minutes from the first call.

City crews fenced off that entire section of the park the same afternoon for a full inspection. He walked away with scraped paws and a vet visit that turned up nothing worse.

For eight years, Tucker has made millions of people smile. Now, those same people are surrounding him with love as he begins the biggest fight of his life.
Tucker Budzyn is the expressive Golden Retriever whose funny reactions, food reviews and adventures turned him into one of the world’s most recognizable dogs.
He joined Courtney and Mike Budzyn’s family as an eight-week-old puppy in 2018.
Courtney originally created an Instagram account simply to share his puppy photos and videos. But people quickly fell in love with Tucker’s dramatic expressions and playful personality.
His hilarious conversations with “Hekkin Linda,” Tucker’s nickname for Courtney, became an internet favorite. His son Todd later joined the family’s videos, giving fans even more joyful moments to follow.
Today, Tucker is eight years old and has more than 27 million social media follows across YouTube, TikTok, Instagram and Facebook.
But recently, Courtney received news no dog parent ever wants to hear.
Tucker was diagnosed with lymphoma, a cancer that affects the body’s disease-fighting white blood cells.
Courtney kept the diagnosis private for two weeks while Tucker began treatment under the care of board-certified veterinary oncologist Dr. Erin Bannink.
Then came the first reason for hope.
After only one week of treatment, Tucker had responded well enough to be considered in partial remission.
Tucker has less energy than usual, but he is still doing the things he loves. He continues to swim, explore parks and enjoy walks with his family.
Courtney was emotional as she shared the diagnosis, but she also made a decision.
She doesn’t want Tucker’s days to be filled with sadness or fear. She wants him to feel hope, happiness and the same love he has given to people around the world.
For years, Tucker has helped strangers through difficult days without ever knowing their names. A silly expression, an excited swim or one of his famous food reviews could make someone smile when they needed it most.
Now, millions of those people are returning the favor.
They are sending prayers, encouragement and love to the Golden Retriever who made the internet feel a little happier.
Tucker’s fight has only begun, but so has his treatment. And reaching partial remission after just one week gives his family something precious to hold on to.
Hope.
The dog who spent eight years lifting everyone else’s spirits now has millions of people lifting his
