Say hello to Ruby 🤍

This 2-year-old cattle dog mix came our way from Clovis, NM — same community where we spayed/neutered all those dogs a few weeks back. And now, she’s here, and has fully blossomed into the goofiest, sweetest little adventure buddy.

She’ll fetch, chase squirrels, and patrol the yard with you all day, then melt into the couch like the off-duty princess she is. She’s crate trained, basically nailed potty training, great with kids, and a total pro with other dogs. (Cats are simply too chaseable and we respect the honesty.)

Join us on June 6th from 2–4 PM at Number Thirty Eight for an afternoon packed with adoptable pups, great food, cold beer, live music, and some of Colorado’s best rescue organizations.

Whether you’re looking to adopt, foster, volunteer, or just get your dog fix for the day, this is the place to be. 🐶

We’ll be hanging out alongside several amazing local rescues, all working toward the same goal: helping more dogs find the loving homes they deserve.

Every dog in these photos is alive today because someone said yes to fostering.

Not because we had space.
Not because we had funding.
Not because we had a kennel.

Because someone opened their home.

The reality is simple: we cannot save dogs without foster homes. Every single dog we rescue needs somewhere to go, and lately, finding fosters has been harder than ever.

We now have more than 1,000 approved fosters in our network, yet we’re struggling to find placements. Summer is historically one of the hardest times of year for shelters and rescues. Intakes increase, adoptions slow down, and the need for foster homes becomes critical.

If you’ve been thinking about fostering, this is your sign.

We provide all supplies, cover all medical care, and there is no out-of-pocket expense to you. Some foster commitments are only temporary, but the impact lasts a lifetime.

A foster home is the difference between us saying “yes” and us having to walk away.

Foster applications can be found on our website. We need you now more than ever. For a rescue dog, a foster home isn’t just a place to stay—it’s a second chance. ❤️🐾

🌸 Meet Mayflower 🌸

Mayflower is another Clovis survivor. She is about 3 years old and the total package wrapped up in one goofy, lovable pittie mix. This absolute ham sandwich lives for belly rubs, couch cuddles, and being as close to her people as possible. She’s the kind of dog who will dramatically flop over for attention and look at you like you’re her whole world.

She’s leash trained, house trained, and crate trained. She truly just wants nothing more than to be the best girl for someone who will love her forever. 🤍

Mayflower’s story hasn’t been easy. She was found wandering the streets of Clovis, New Mexico, severely emaciated while trying to care for her 10 puppies. Through no fault of their own, they were placed on the euthanasia list. We were able to save Mayflower just in time, but heartbreakingly, her babies did not survive.

Despite everything she’s been through, Mayflower is still full of love, trust, and hope. She greets life with a wagging tail, a silly personality, and the biggest heart imaginable. Now it’s finally her turn to be spoiled, cherished, and safe.

Mayflower deserves the kind of forever home where she’ll never have to worry again. She deserves endless love, soft couches, and all the belly rubs she wants. 🐾✨

Double the ears, double the chaos, double the cuddles. 🖤🐾

Meet Stella & Stanley, a 6-month-old Frenchie/Pomeranian sibling duo serving matching lovebug energy in two different colorways. Stella is the sleek little shadow, Stanley is the black-and-white goofball, and both are professional snugglers, certified lap thieves, and best-friend material.

Sweet, social, cuddly, and impossible not to fall in love with… honestly these two are giving “main characters.” ✨

Meet Teddy 🤍

This tiny 2-year-old yorkie mix from Clovis, NM hitched a ride back to Denver with us after the clinic wrapped up. (See pic #3 👀 Pre-bath and lots of TLC!) He was absolutely perfect for the entire 7 hour car ride and we were all officially small dog people afterwards.

He is GENTLE. He is CUDDLY. He loves other dogs, loves people, and will absolutely follow you around just to be near you. We’re still working on potty training (living inside is a whole new world) but are making great progress every day.

Teddy came from the same community where we just spayed and neutered 263 dogs over three days. Now he’s here looking for his person. Could that be you? 🐾

From Clovis to Denver 🚙💞

Meet Cinder, one of our latest rescues from Clovis, New Mexico. This girlie is pure love wrapped up in the sweetest little package. Her signature move is flopping dramatically onto her back and kicking her feet around in hopes of getting endless belly rubs — and we can confirm it works every time.
