Emmy Lou is looking for her person 🥹

3 yrs • 35lb pitty mix • spayed • UTD • Smoky Hill

This girl has had serious training put into her and she knows her stuff; heel, recall, place, down, stay, crate, the works. Fully house trained too.

She LOVES people and kids, lives for fetch, and would make an amazing hiking/camping buddy.

Important:
• dog reactive needs to be the only pet
• no cats
• best with a confident/experienced handler
• already muzzle trained

She’ll come with her gear (toys, bed, muzzle, etc)

She really is a fantastic dog in the right home she just needs the right match.

If you’re interested or know someone who might be, reach out to Quinn on IG: .shepherds

Please share to help her find her people 🤍

listen…i love a fancy crate as much as the next dog nerd, but can we talk about how some of these marketing videos make it look like cerberus himself is trying to break out of a walmart wire crate 😭 like okay, cool, now i’m supposed to drop $1,500 on a titanium dog jail cell??

i’m not anti crate and i’m not saying those reinforced crates don’t have their place they absolutely do. but if your dog is so anxious that they’re breaking out of normal crates…maybe the next step isn’t an industrial-strength panic box. maybe it’s, idk, training. and meeting their needs before locking them up for the day.

Crate time isn’t the enemy but ignoring why your dog feels trapped definitely is.

what’s your take on these heavy duty crates? do you love them, hate them, or have trauma like me from seeing that one gunner ad where the crate gets launched off a cliff? 😂

Came home LOADED from the 2025 Feed Real Summit 😭💀 This was just after Day 1 and let’s just say… I didn’t buy a single bag of food, chew, or treat all of October 🤣

Starting a petition for the Feed Real Institute to sell extra swag bags next year because I’d 100% buy four of them!!

“How do you walk that many dogs at once?!” I get that question all. the. time.

And honestly? My answer is that the motto in life is to play smarter, not harder.

Sure, I could drill every dog individually on a perfect “heel.” I could spend hours shaping their walk positions and then make an expensive 3 page e-book packed with “top secret pro level info” and sell it to you like some kind of guru…

Orrrrrrrr I could come back to reality and think about my actual clients. Are you really going to sit there and replicate every detail of my work? Maybe. But most of you are tired, busy, and just want a walk that doesn’t feel like a full body workout. 😅

So I found a smarter. And that’s basically turning myself into a dog walking octopus 🐙 with leash tentacles coming out of my back.

The Tiny Horse ( ) leash system does 90% of the work for you so, whether you’re another hiker/walker/trainer or just trying to make walks with your personal pack a lil smoother I can bet you this system works.

* This is not an ad or an affiliate partnership in any form (even though it should be 👀😉) I just genuinely love these leashes and use them every day. They are 100% Wolf Pack Approved ✅

You know what no one said in that Reddit thread with thousands of comments about the dog who needed multiple obstruction surgeries in one year? “Put the damn dog in a crate”

Everyone had an opinion; diet changes, vet checks, supplements, behaviorists, enrichment toys, all of it but somehow the simplest, safest answer never came up.

And honestly, I get it 🤷🏾‍♀️ I used to think crates were harsh too. I didn’t want to “lock” a dog up or make them feel trapped but then I started seeing what happens when you don’t have any structure (aka pillaged trash cans, random poo inside, dogs that are constantly anxious because they don’t actually know how to rest)

Now my dogs (client or personal) eat in their crates, nap in their crates, and sometimes even go in on their own when they need a break bey when you give them what they need outside the crate (adventure, exercise, connection, and actual fulfillment) the crate becomes peace, not punishment.

Crate training doesn’t make you controlling. It makes you smart. It’s how you keep a curious, living, chewing creature alive long enough to actually learn how to live safely in your world.

What’s your take? Do you crate your dogs, or are you more of a “structured freedom” kind of person? I’m genuinely curious how people feel about it.
