Hello! I thought I’d share a little bit of House of Wag fun! Charlie loves to visit and play with his sweet friends. Yesterday he got to spend time with his friend Copper, they ran, chased, tussled and enjoyed some pets and treats!

☀️🐾 SUMMER IS HERE AND THOSE PAVEMENT TEMPERATURES ARE NO JOKE! 🐾☀️

Our pups may be ready to RUN, PLAY & EXPLORE all summer long… but sometimes their paws and bodies need us to hit the brakes. 💙🐾

When temperatures rise, hot pavement, humidity, and direct sun can become dangerous quickly especially for puppies, seniors, short-nosed breeds, and pups with thick or dark coats.

That’s why I put together this quick Summer Temperature & Time Safety Guide for my fellow dog lovers. 🐶

A few important reminders:

🌡️ Check the temperature before heading out
🐾 Use the 7-second pavement test, if it’s too hot for the back of your hand, it’s too hot for their paws.
💧 Always bring fresh water
🌳 Choose shaded and grassy areas whenever possible
🌅 Walk during the coolest parts of the day which are early morning or later evening
⏱️ Keep walks shorter as temperatures climb
🚨 Know the signs of overheating and take action immediately.

And remember: there’s no prize for finishing a walk when your pup is struggling. Sometimes the safest walk is a short potty break followed by some indoor enrichment and cuddles. ❤️🐾🥰

At House of Wag, your pup’s safety always comes first. Safety. Trust. Love. Peace of Mind. That’s what I want every pet parent to have while their pups are in my care.

Feel free to SAVE this post, SHARE it with another dog parent, and keep it handy all summer! 🐾

🥰🐾 Well, hello there! 🐾🥰

I know I’ve been a little quiet since I mentioned my House of Wag relaunch, but for a very good reason… I’ve been incredibly busy loving on pups, cats, horses, donkeys, chickens, rabbits, Guinea pigs and more! All over Denton, surrounding areas and in my home. And honestly, it’s been a pretty wonderful problem to have. 🩵🐾🐶

So, I thought I’d start with these two cuties! I’ve had the absolute pleasure of loving on, caring for, playing with, cuddling, and, of course, giving plenty of kisses to these two adorable doodle!

And they’re just two of the many sweet faces I’ve had the privilege of spending time with through my many adventures with my beloved House of Wag. 🏡🐾

Over the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing more of my adventures in pup care, from walks, drop-ins to puppy playdates, cozy stays, silly moments, and all the little things that make this labor of love so special. 🥰🐾

I’m going to start back around January and slowly catch you up on all the pups, adventures, and memories along the way. It may take me a little while to get caught up… but there are a LOT of good stories to tell! 😂

Thank you for being here and joining me on this journey. I’m so excited to finally share more of House of Wag with you!

Loving care while you’re away. 🐾🩵🥰
