We’re heartbroken to share that our beloved Dalmatian, Winston, recently passed away from sudden liver failure. He was with us for nearly 10 years—loyal, loving, endlessly energetic, and full of personality. From big adventures to lazy cuddle days, Winston was truly part of our family and the perfect big brother to our husky, Keira.
In just 24 hours, he went from acting normal to showing signs of illness—excessive thirst, urination, and vomiting. We rushed him to the ER when he became jaundiced and were devastated to learn he was in severe liver failure. We later discovered that Dalmatians are genetically prone to Copper Storage Disease, something we hadn’t been made aware of despite regular vet visits.
My love for Winston, Keira, and the life I’ve built with them is what inspired me to start my business. The care, attention, and unconditional love I give my own pets is the same standard I bring to every client and their beloved animals.
We know many of you have experienced the loss of a beloved pet over the years, and we understand how deeply painful it is. It’s never easy. Please keep us in your thoughts as we mourn and adjust to life without our sweet spotted boy.
I also hope this helps others—many breeds have predisposed health conditions that aren’t always obvious. Annual bloodwork and breed-specific screenings can make all the difference.
Winston was so loved and will always be missed. We’re giving extra love to Keira as she adjusts to the loss of her best friend, and we’re holding onto the many beautiful memories he gave us.
