09/01/2026: New stray in the Animal Shelter. If you recognize your dog, contact DAWG to claim, 3307 S Eisenhower Pkwy, 903-361-4211. Be sure you take proof of ownership and proof of current rabies vaccination. The City of Denison requires strays to be held for 3 full days (6 days if chipped to owner or wearing owner-identifiable tag) . Unclaimed dogs in the shelter MAY be offered for adoption through DAWG. There is NO GUARANTEE that any particular dog will be offered for adoption. If you do NOT intend to reclaim your dog and can provide information about the dog’s temperament and behavior, please message DAWG with that information. The more information we have, the better our chances of making a good placement if/when the dog is released for adoption. No applications or inquiries are being accepted at this time.
